found something very odd.
when you go to this site, and do a comparison of the snow/ice cover in the northern hemisphere, this year's globe is ever so slightly SMALLER than last year's globe..

it's not immediately noticeable, but definite.
here's a gif showing it..

just look at the right hand globe. ignore the left hand one
now, that is an interesting gif for a couple of reasons. first the size difference of the globes. that HAS to be a conscious choice by someone at that website, to throw people off the scent, imho. second, LOOK at the snow cover. you'll notice a couple of things. Look at the snow cover in North America first. notice the line of it in 2011 was down to the lakes? this year the line is further north. Now look at the snow cover on the opposite side of the pole, in mid Eurasia, notice a similar shifting SOUTH of the snow line? I know one snapshot does not a pole shift make, but it's interesting.
just as a back up to this, I went back a few years, to do similar comparisons.
this next gif is showing 2006 as compared to this year..

again just look at the right hand globe, ignore the left one
and this one is 2007..

interesting stuff. quite marked increases in snow cover in mid eurasia this past 6 years or so. also, there is an increase/decrease in sea ice in the last year that seems odd..

that same hole in the sea ice was there in 2006 and 2007 too if you notice. something has most definitely happened.
