I can no longer afford to live in my town. Relocate? To where? Any doom goin down in Georgia?
Rents and cost of living in my area are suddenly so ridiculously expensive, it has become blaringly clear that a relocate is inevitable. But, where to relocate too?

I am sick and tired of hard winters.
Sick and tired of being broke all the time.

This economy is killing me.

My son and his fiance are moving to Georgia. The fiance says it's gorgeous there.

Where do you live now? How much are you paying in rent? Parts of Georgia are gorgeous, but I don't know much about the economy. The economy here in Nashville is doing pretty well comparatively--

Definitely look for warmth... anywhere it's usually warm. Any of the southern states in the nation, pick the cheapest.

Re: I can no longer afford to live in my town. Relocate? To where? Any doom goin down in Georgia?
Hi
Salt,

I
was
born
and
raised
in
Southern
Georgia.

Bottom-line,
it's
beautiful,
fairly-solid
economy,
cost-of-living
is
easily
affordable
to
most.

Down-side;
riddled
with
crime-not
safe,
especially
the
bigger
cities.

So,
it
comes
down
to
a
trade-off.

I
moved
from
GA
to
SD
to
raise
my
family.

But,
if
you're
bent
on
GA,
I
suggest
living
in
the
North-West
area

of
the
state.
Rome,
GA

is
nice-it
has
a
bit
of
European
flair.

At
any
rate,
good-luck.

don't know about georgia. seems like it would be humid and buggy tho.

i was born and lived in northern virginia (wash, dc suburbs) for most of my life, super expensive area.

moved to indianapolis like 12 years ago. MUCH more reasonable housing, like half the price or better. people here are nice... so that was weird at first but i've gotten used to it.

overall i prefer it, we have been able to have a much nicer life for sure altho it can get a little boring depending on what you are used to.

Since you already live in Colorado -

2. Pueblo, Colo.
Cost of Living Index: 85.9
Metro Population: 154,371
Median Household Income: $39,570
Average Home Price: $197,037

This economic hub of southeastern Colorado is just 103 miles from Denver but has a much lower cost of living. Homes in Pueblo are cheaper, on average, than in the rest of the state -- and nation. Pueblo residents also benefit from Colorado’s low state income-tax rate of 4.64% of federal taxable income.

I have heard that Arkansas is incredibly cheap. I assume you live on a fixed income? disability? BEcause everywhere that cost of living is cheap, so is the labor wages.
The actual Lord's Prayer Given by Jesus 2000 years ago.

"MY SPIRIT, YOU ARE OMNIPOTENT. YOUR NAME IS HOLY. MAY YOUR REALM BE INCARNATE IN ME. MAY YOUR POWER REVEAL ITSELF WITHIN ME, ON EARTH AND IN THE HEAVEN. GIVE ME TODAY MY DAILY BREAD, AND THUS, LET ME RECOGNIZE MY TRANSGRESSIONS AND ERRORS, AND I SHALL RECOGNIZE THE TRUTH. AND DO NOT LEAD ME INTO TEMPTATION AND CONFUSION, BUT DELIVER ME FROM ERROR.
