I'm not from or live in Georgeia, but Atlanta is a diceptively large city with just about anything you could want. Way too big for my taste, but then, that is why it is so big. People keep trying to live on the edge of a big city and it just grows and grows and grows outward down here in the South as opposed to skyward up North.

I'm partial to my home state of Tennessee of course, but if you are moving and want high society culture, you can certainly find it in the South East. Best thing about places like Atlanta or Nashville, or Mobile, or any other good sized city in the South East is the balance of culture and laid back affordable peace you can have.

I live in Middle Tennessee and we bought our 3 bedroom house on 2 acres of land in 1993 for $69k. I get to work in the city and live in the country in a state that doesn't tax my income. When people marvled at why I would live out in the sticks I just told them how much my house note was. Back then it was only about $525/month. We refinanced to a 15 year to pay it off quicker and popped it up to $750. It's paid off now. Life is good down here in the South.
