Beast from the sea The description of the beast is found primarily in Revelation chapters thirteen and seventeen. Chapter thirteen gives the fullest description of the beast. The beast comes out of the sea, from the abyss, where he is greeted by the Dragon at the shoreline. The Beast has the appearance of a leopard, the mouth of a lion and feet are like bear paws. The beast has seven heads with blasphemous names written on them and ten horns, each having a crown. One of the heads of the beast appears to have a fatal wound but the wound is healed causing people to wonder and follow the beast. This description draws many parallels with a vision in the Book of Daniel where four beasts come out of the sea in the forms of a lion, bear, leopard and a beast with ten horns. In Revelation chapter seventeen we learn that the beast is scarlet in color and some of the symbols are explained. The seven heads of the Beast represent both seven mountains and seven kings, and the ten horns are ten kings who have not yet received kingdoms. Of the seven kings we are told that five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come. We are also told that the beast itself is an eighth king who belongs to the seven but is going to his destruction. We are also told that this beast "once was, now is not, and yet will come." The Seven Names of RC Blasphemy
[link to apologetics.scriptmania.com] The Biblical definition of blasphemy is for a mere mortal man to take on the attributes of God Almighty and to direct the worship therof away from Him. Leaders and dignitaries of the Roman Catholic church take names for themselves that are reserved to God, the Lord Jesus Christ:
FOLLOWING the Leopard-Bear-Lion beast is another great beast: the beast with "Two Horns like a Lamb". Since the 42 months of LBL's dominion take us from 688 to 1967, this later beast might give us information on events that take place AFTER 1967.
Revelation 13:11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
