What is death?

The end of physical life on this planet.

But not the end of your life.

Just an exchange of worlds.

Our soul is eternal.

bump for more insight

You are a soul, the bible says the soul that is sinning will die. Don't sound too eternal to me. Maybe you heard what the serpent told Eve. He told her and Adam that they would not die. That is where the lie of an eternal soul comes from.

I had a few beers back in 78 with Adam and Eve, if that means anything.

Death is Life... The whole Idea or exsistance on earth determins where you go after this life. Earth is mans domain between heaven and hell. Souls eternal in one place or another.Soooooooooooo. Most of us choose to live in heaven, after we leave here. as for the rest....well....... Still up to you. Now would be a good time to repent.Jesus prepares your heart for this.

Soul is not eternal as only God is eternal.
(Ezekiel 18:4) The soul that is sinning - it itself will die.
The believers will be saved through grace and the sacrifice of Christ. The mortal will die.
So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 1 Corinthians 15:54
The Bible says more than 320 times that the soul (Nephesh) can die, so it is not immortal.

Re: I asked God while gazing at Orion "What is Death?"
what is death?
for that matter: what is life?

here's how i see it (this based on research, thought, and experience)

"everything is in the process of changing into something else", first and formost: this is entropy.

and

"nothing lasts"

but more importantly

"nothing is lost"

life requires death/change: this is Law

as for humans? i agree with Robert Frost when he postulated that humans are born as a 'tabula rasa", a blank state, formed with potential and realized over a life time of choices.

each new emerging human is given the opportunity to craft (this shaping ocuring thru action and choice) their soul and when our active period is done, when the expression of those choices is 'complete', when we die, what remains is 'memory' , eternally held within the mind of God and 'organized' according to God's judgement within God's mind.

we are a series of choices.

death is the end of a sentence that was crafted by a dynamic soul. this sentence fits into a paragraph made by other sentences that are held in God's mind and part of the ever changing story of life.

nothing is lost
but
nothing lasts

Re: I asked God while gazing at Orion "What is Death?"
If you beleive in fiction and base your reality on fiction. Then you are dead. If you say you are a person you are dead. A person is a dead body. Human beings can not be a person. If you fool yourself into thinking your a person then you are dead. That is what our problem is now. We have a bunch of bad actors running the show and tricking everyone into thinking they are a person or better yet that we are dead.

The response I got back was that "Death is a Symbol".

What do you think about this? I have problem understanding iamwith

Your response doesn't make sense. Death is nothing more than a transition to the next phase.

In other words, the end is just the beginning.

Re: I asked God while gazing at Orion "What is Death?"
Death is just closing the door on this life and opening another in the next life....why so hard to understand...
