and to be extra careful about everything, to practice love
and be awake.

He also spoke about our own personal 'end-of-the-world's'
when someone in close family dies, for example, or divorce, he said to stand erect and look to the Lord, to practice all the virtues.

they've been blurting end of days stuff for two thousand years.

A week or two ago our priest told us at mass that you will be noticing in the days ahead the readings will be focusing on the "end of days" themes which coincides with the end of the liturgical year before advent starts. So although it seems to fit with the stuff happening in the world today, there is a purpose as the why the readings are so doom and gloom these last few weeks....if that makes you feel any better.

I felt kinda high all day from that Mass, on the altar were banners with the words:

Prepare
Rejoice
Awaken

and even if this year all that happens is Christmas,
and no Jesus returned,
I still will be like a bride waiting for the groom, lamps lit
