I Just Read Aleister Crowley's Bio

I posted a link to the bio I read. He lived like ten interesting lives packed into one.

The truth is quite contrary, actually. He (whether intentionally or not) helped to facilitate this 1000 year period of peace. The key to entering this "aeon", as he termed it (do your research, Anonymous), is giving up religious connotations and divisions. This is what the Occult stands for. Occult is the opposite of A Cult. Every religion is a cult through its inherent nature. His agenda was getting people to give this up, which is quite similar to what Christ was trying to do 1900 years before Crowley. He poked fun at fanaticism and blind faith in religious/philosophical/political authority. Many of his adherents didn't get this. Some did. There are many that always have. Typically, they have been dejected and labeled as heretics by the same institutions that need to be overthrown in order for this 1000 period to come about. He was not an egomaniac. If he were, he'd have cared a lot more about his image. He couldn't have cared less about his image, which is why he accepted a villified role as a heretic -- a wicked man. He was standing into direct opposition to egomaniacal methods of control/authoritarian structures.

I was researching his satanic church long time ago, even read the bible (not the keys at the end). A very philosophical and intelligent man, he didn't live life to the max - he never experienced love - I'm sure of that.
