Is religion a mental illness? Or does it exploit mental illness?

Hey... All I did was quote the bible, pal.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28765560 According to God, man is saved purely by grace alone through faith in and confession of the Lord Jesus Christ (Rom. 10:9-10, Eph. 2:8-9). You isolated one verse that does not contain these all important aspects of salvation and, in fact, on its own could mislead people into believing the heretical teaching that salvation is by works. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 7254491 So... You wanted me to quote the entire bible? The OP asked if "religion" is a mental illness, and I picked a verse that defines what religion is, according to the bible ITSELF. Even though I don't agree with the OP in general, I do believe that you have some mental issues. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28765560 ^^^ And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist (1 John 4:3) Ye shall know them by their fruits (Matt. 7:16). Quoting: Anonymous Coward 7254491 It's really hilarious watching you continue to post bible verses at me, as if I disagree with ANY of them... lol I DO confess Jesus (Yeshua) as the Savior. And how are my fruits bad, if I merely answered the OP with a bible verse that is JUST AS VALID as the ones that you have posted?? To keep oneself unspotted from the world, is a good way to describe true religion, if limited to just one verse. I didn't go into rabid attack mode, like you people who give the truth a bad name. Condemning and rebuking other believers, based on the fact that they don't read your mind perfectly, and post a whole slew of verses, in order to satisfy you. You are the EXACT kind that keeps non-believers from even WANTING to believe. Still a baby "Christian" who beats people over the head, like clanging cymbals.
