I am proud to live in Washington State and Watch how we are setting up a legal Marijuana marketing operation

First Id like to say gratz and Im jealous as hell. Wish Florida had done the same. However Im curious how this will affect drug testing for employment. will they be able to tell a person they didnt get the job because the test came back positive for marijuana? Just wondering how thats going to work legally?

I have said this before, but if you visit our state you are also legal to have an ounce without fear of prosecution. Any person on Washington soil is permitted. Please come visit Washington State. People here are real nice and things are affordable compared to other places.... clean air, lots of water, lots of space -especially on the eastern side of the state.

Great point. I see this being an issue we have needed to face for a long time. Can an employer force its staff on how to live off hours ? I believe we will see laws protecting employees , but that's coming in the future....


...for now- if you enjoy marijuana, make sure you understand how your employer tests, and use it far enough before such a test to hopefully pass. The tests have markers, so if there is a trace it does not neccesarily mean you fail a drug test.
Some people will try to hassle and force us to live thier way -going to great lengths to scare. Its too bad we have to deal with such people, they will have to be chained back from harming others by law. We need to leagalize and we need to reforn policy to accomdate the new paradigm.

all I can say is the prohibition was the crumble. Open your eyes. Liberty starts here with legalization. Thats what I see. Sorry if you dont agree. Go ahead and beat people upo with law and jail and force them to dark places and using impure unreliable cannabis. What a silly way we have gone this last 100 years. Time for a change.

56% to 44% voted to legalize. We are saying states have the right to govern. We dont need or want a big ,intrusive federal government. I am proud of our governor and some of our lrgislatures for respecting THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE. The feds dont listen to us, and its time we the people reform the laws.

I think marijuana might be a good flavoring for food ( in small amounts) I intend to try that out when its leagl ( in 3 or 4 days!)

That's why the federal government and EVERY SINGLE ORGANIZATION that wants to destroy the United States under the police state boot heels of an international corporate banking dictatorship have kept marijuana illegal for decades, and continue to try and keep all drugs illegal, unconstitutionally.

How long have you lived here? True Washingtonians "do not" encourage outsiders to move here. Do you not pay attention to what happened to our real estate & land 25+ years ago? You must be young.

I was born in Spokane Washington. Lived here most of my life. Visitors are welcome! Good for them, good for our economy. If I see visitors downtown, I make it a point to greet and ask if they need directions, thats what we Washintonians do.

Soon I can direct 'em to a nearby State Dispensary! Welcome to Washington!!

This time it's differant--all above board-no secret deals. We pay taxes and it helps fund Basic Health and harm reduction programs. Police get some too. The idea is to give people their freedom and enact a distribution sytem thats mandated by the will of the people. That's how it seems to me.
