I prefer Mint because it doesnt have Ubiquity user interface and comes prebundled with flash player and vlc player. |

Keep in mind that Ubuntu/Kbuntu come from Debian distro and it very easy to get help. Personaly i use Arch Linux but i will not recomand it for a new commer. Try testing inside a VirtualBox , it free! |

My second favorite is pinguy, a very useable form of ubuntu. Is well worth downloading both, and trying them out live. [link to www.pclinuxos.com] [link to pinguyos.com] But note, my pinguy is 64 bit, pclinux only has 32 bit, so I use 2 hardrives. The pinguy sound went after a later update, the pclinux keeps going strong after its updates. |
