Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28167778 It has happened twice about this time in Arkansas, Missouri. Here in Delaware lots of birds flying, flocking. If it is anything abnormal, I think it is more tied to your location than to fewer birds. Do not mean to sound scary, just mean it could be local conditions. Keep us posted. No fear here :) It is starting to look like it's location related. Will do. Quoting: Dr. Acula I got 4 big big bird feeders... I was just outside and the feeders were swarming with all different kinds of birds. All is well and normal in Kentucky except for the warmer weather... Its 66F here today... nice and warm... unusual for December. Oh well I'll take warm over cold any day Ty for the intel...MI here, mid-sized pond in the backyard that attracts numerous species, looking right at it all morning/afternoon and not a one. hmmm thats odd makes ya wonder... if one should follow them lol well they are here in KY... lol hope its just "one of them things" and not a sign of something. There has only been one day in the last year i didnt see birds... thought it was odd when i woke up and none were around... we had a 4.3 quake... about a month ago. Birds came back after the quake. Today, a lone woodpecker was screeching..I thought my dog had it caught! but is was outside in a tree and then flew to another tree...screeching! They are usually very silent. Most of our birds disappeared in July. This is GLP, and I realize most won't take this seriously...but I find it very sad that our birds are dying out...and I know the ones that migrate and the ones that do not....they didn't migrate in July. |

| Kissplash User ID: 18998054 12/02/2012 10:42 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Well we have no loss of birds here in NJ. I see scores of them all the time...even with this misty wanna-be-snow weather. My hubby was at work last week and he said he saw all different kinds of birds sitting together in lakes and ponds. (He delivers everywhere all day so he sees a lot of territory). He also noticed (and took a pic) of them covering multiple power lines all in one area. Maybe trying to get warm? It's strange though, cause the day in question seemed pretty nice to me. LEARN HOW TO BE KIND OR BE LEFT BEHIND. OXOXO |
