I'm from the future and on December 3rd 2012, there will be a massive earthquake | |
CE1 ***** User ID: 10136506 United States 12/02/2012 04:55 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm from the year 2089. Quoting: LostInTime 12896173 After testing out a prototype time machine, I went back in time to 2001 and have been stranded since. As far as I remember from the future history books, December 3rd 2012 is a pivotal date. This earthquake changes EVERYTHING. Although there is a small possibility that my time travelling expedition may have created an alternate reality (your timeline) where all possible future events are now changed.. |

LostInTime (OP) User ID: 12896173 United Kingdom 12/02/2012 05:10 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It doesn't work that way...Otherwise I would be rich now LOL... My time travelling expedition has created this alternate reality where future version of events are slightly different. But generally large scale events always seem to happen in all timelines, but the outcomes and reactions are always slightly different... You see, in my future timeline, after 9/11, America invaded Saudi Arabia. But in YOUR timeline, they invaded Iraq instead.. |

What happens or at least happened in your time line, on December 21, 2012 - the end of the Mayan calendar. In my future timeline, if I recall correctly, on December 21st 2012, NASA found conclusive proof of microbial lifeforms on Mars. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 15022013 I wasn't married and the nature of my job meant I had a few friends. I was a research scientist at SpaceX (yeah they pretty much rule the world in 2089) and was working on StarGate technology. Not for time travel, but for instantaneous travel between 2 planets or large distances. Basically when we tried to test it, I volunteered. And now, here I am. |

Sounds like you did not like it much in that time frame/time line. For you did not mention what you missed most about the year 2089. Was it the ease of communication? Great economy? No war? What do you miss from then? |
LostInTime (OP) User ID: 12896173 United Kingdom 12/02/2012 05:33 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | In the future, Mars is colonized and in the process of being terra-formed. Faster than light propulsion still hasn't been discovered, although there are ships which can reach near light speed. The population of the world is just under 5 billion. WW3 killed approximately 2 billion people. Corporations rule the world in 2089. Some things never change like the top 10% still own 90% of the wealth. Life expectancy is 160 years. We have robots. Anti-gravity vehicles. Tall sky scrapers. Some other futuristic shit. |

What do you miss from then? I really miss my timeline. My time travel experience was a god damn accident. I really wanted to be a part of the StarGate venture which would have allowed people to travel between Mars and Earth instantaneously. I miss the futuristic shit we had then. I'm now 45 and won't live long enough to experience it again. Life expectancy was 160 years in the future but it was fucking expensive to get treatment beyond 85 (like 6 figures). |
