Quoting: Anonymous Coward 12195955 there will be a significant drop in true believers, particularly folks who can remember all the channelers making statements about ascension, mass awakening, first contact etc DEFINITELY HAPPENING BY THE END OF 2012, but there will always be plenty of newbs who are willing to wait another year or two or three, etc.. Hell, Wilcock managed to rebuild his fanbase after his Ascension 2000 turned out to be a bust... new agers have very short memory spans...  The constant arrival of newbs, who replace the disillusioned former followers, keep these frauds going. People still fall for the 'Nigerian Prince' scam, so they'll likely keep falling for these New Age scams as well. All you can do is forewarn them, so they won't be wasting their time, money & energy. |
