I'm gonna keep this thread in mind when I talk with (hit on) women. According to this thread you all are menstruating 1/2 the month.

and please... don't post pix for this thread.

Maybe the the global water supply was poisoned. Thats all I am gonna say.....
 Quoting: Chucky

Could have something to do with the water seeing we are entering into the age of Aquarius and water has many properties.

Great change is near. Everyones mind and bodies are feeling it.
The sun is feeling the energy too. Right now the sun is almost spotless (very low) and it is expose to be approaching the solar maximum (lots of activity).
This is directly effecting our magnetosphere by weakening it and in turn letting in more cosmic rays. Another problem we are having is our shifting magnetic poles. They are moving at alarming rates and changing all sorts of surface to air currents.

The more we talk about what we are experiencing: Men and Women : the better we can understand what is happening. We will all need each others help with this problem and all future problems.

Mine smells more than usual. Anyone else?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 26646277

Totally gross but yes. Sometimes it has a garlic smell. Sometimes like ammonia. Sometimes like decaying flesh when it's just a trickle of old blood. Really strange.

I am, thought, I was post, past, and was talking to a woman a couple years older who was sure she was as well, but we had experienced the same thing at the same time. It was during one of those celestial configurations, I do not know which one. Wow, who knew.

Re: Are women doubling up on menstual cycles lately?
I was 15 days late in November, finally started...lasted the usual 3-4 days, then towards the end of the month I started again, but only lasted a day or so. I, too, chalked it up to pre-menopause...but now I wonder.

Also, while on the phone with my 65 year old mom tonight, she mentioned that she is worried because she found blood in her panties. Just a little. I wasn't too concerned about it, after reading this I am WTF.

First off I would like to say that I'm off topic but feel this is with in the same ball park. My son n daughter in law had natural triplet girls 2 n a half years ago only the 3rd set ever where I live. Shortly after they were born 3 more sets of triplets born and there has been rumors of 2 more sets! Collective subconsciousness keeping our race alive or what??? And why so many in southern Oregon???

I love finding hints of a mystery, but this thread is more groupthink than anything.

A woman's period can change. Especially when syncing up with a woman they are new work colleagues with or new friends with.

Changes are happening, and Aunt Flo is tied to the lunar cycle, but this is not a sign.

I live with a woman (my wife) and she only had a normal cycle. She has friends and she would be telling me about it if all of here friends menstration cycles were going haywire.

My wife and her friend have been experiencing this for the past few months. New moon, full moon, new moon, you get the idea. I wondered if this is a phenomenon that many women are experiencing, but don't talk about it. (At least to men.)

Thank you ladies for your comments.

Re: Are women doubling up on menstual cycles lately?
46, Indiana, blood A+

heavier periods, lg clots, stops in the middle for a day, restarts

i've never really been regular, despite having 4 kids. i have always had a spurt where i'd be regular for a couple of 30-31 day cycles and then i'd not have one for a few months, have one, skip one, have one, and so forth

the last 6-8 months i've had the damn thing every 27-28 days which, for me is a lot and as close to regular as i've ever been

they also make me super, super tired for a day or two before and the first couple of days of which i'd never noticed before

my daughters (17-23) have all also haven usually irregular cycles that have now started coming within a day or two of when they are due (odd for all of us) and also heavier with 1 out of 3 (i would make 2 out of 4) reporting lg clots

this clot thing is gross but might be important. i was always told if you can feel it, it's too big. well, these are too big. we are also 2 out of 4 on the stopping/starting for a day business too, same 2 of us

Re: Are women doubling up on menstual cycles lately?
For the last 3 months, around the time of the Blue Moon, my menstruating has been incredibly irregular. Almost non stop bleeding for 3 months now with an occasional week(ish) long reprieve. Since this last full moon there has been an obscene amount of blood as well. It's like a murder scene in my panties, haha. Also, in July I took a trip to the ER, as I had been driving to a friends house and felt like I had started bleeding, but when I got out of the car, blood started rushing out of me like crazy. I was wearing shorts over leggings and it went through both layers and just kept bleeding. I got extremely light headed from the blood loss and thought I was going to exsanguinate or something. The bleeding last a good hour and a half or so. The doctors never were able to tell me what the problem was, just told me that it must have been something weird with my hormones as I had gotten off the birth control shot about a month earlier. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only experiencing the inconsistency though.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28847327

For goodness' sake, that is NOT normal! Get yourself checked out for cervical, ovarian or uterine cancer. Wierd hormones, my butt!

I know a woman who nearly bled out like you describe - a couple of Christmas' ago, she felt a bit tired and went to have a lie down. Her husband went to check her out as she didn't resurface for several hours, and lucky he did as she was only an hour or so away from bleeding out completely. She described the blood loss as incredible - her bed was soaked in it so badly they had to buy a new mattress and the ambulance officers who attended said it reminded them of a guresome murder scene. Took doctors a few weeks, but they found she had a very aggressive type of cervical cancer - she did not take a puzzled scratch on the head from doctors as an answer and pushed until they found the problem. Lucky she did as she is still with us today!

Constant mentrual bleeding is not normal if you do not have an obvious cause (like childbirth or injury)- get yourself checked out...
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 15064648

I'm only 22, so I doubt it's cancer, but it certainly is strange. I don't have any medical insurance. I don't know how in the world I could pay for tests. I've had numerous health issues lately that have gone undiagnosed and untreated as a result. In fact, I had another ER visit this summer because of unusually high blood pressure and chest pain, and was referred to a cardiologist after and EKG, but I just simply can't afford it. I'm not quite sure what to do.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28847327

Check for a womens health center close to you, you only give a donation as to what you can afford. Don't know your location but there should be one in your area somewhere..

At age 22 it definitely COULD be cancer. I have known several young ladies who were diagnosed with cervical cancer.

Another one here. I started today. My last period was 22 days ago. I just chalked it up to getting older (I'm 37). My periods used to come every 30-35 days. My cycles have been gradually getting shorter over the last 5-6 months.
