My daughter just started and also had two last month, her very first and her second. I was convinced it was because I am menopausal and she was just starting, I thought we were adjusting to each other, as women that live together often do. Maybe there is more to it... |

| Anonymous Coward User ID: 28847327 12/02/2012 09:09 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | For the last 3 months, around the time of the Blue Moon, my menstruating has been incredibly irregular. Almost non stop bleeding for 3 months now with an occasional week(ish) long reprieve. Since this last full moon there has been an obscene amount of blood as well. It's like a murder scene in my panties, haha. Also, in July I took a trip to the ER, as I had been driving to a friends house and felt like I had started bleeding, but when I got out of the car, blood started rushing out of me like crazy. I was wearing shorts over leggings and it went through both layers and just kept bleeding. I got extremely light headed from the blood loss and thought I was going to exsanguinate or something. The bleeding last a good hour and a half or so. The doctors never were able to tell me what the problem was, just told me that it must have been something weird with my hormones as I had gotten off the birth control shot about a month earlier. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only experiencing the inconsistency though. |

Maybe we could find out in which states they´re living. If anyone could just tell in which state they live, maybe we find out it´s confined to the west coast (cascadia EQ etc.) or something like that.. Not sure why so many other women are experiencing a recent change in their cycles. Could it be a precursor to something? Could it be a result of some natural changes in the Earth or Moon or both? Would be interesting to find out. Quoting: OnTheFence Last Edited by Artaius San on 12/02/2012 09:12 PM There will come a time when you believe everything ends. What is unusual is that I am now ovulating several times a cycle (since September). It is very obvious when I am ovulating - it's not a lot of guesswork... I thought it was related to age (late 30s) but maybe not... Of course hubs feels its a mixed bag - I want it more as a result but we use condoms just when I ovulate (tmi) as we'd welcome another baby but aren't exactly out looking for one either! | JadeDone User ID: 2546215 12/02/2012 09:11 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My cycles have been starting every 20 days for the past 2 months. I am in perimenopause though and have been told this is normal. Earlier this year, I skipped a cycle here and there and some were a couple days early (early based on previous 28 day cycles). It is interesting to hear so many women have been having extra cycles the past few months. Are we all in our middle years or are younger women having spares too? I am in Washington State. | Yes I Did !!!! User ID: 28921084 12/02/2012 09:21 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I see.. Quoting: Artaius Do we have women here that are not from the US with the same experience? Cause if there is something to this: Women, historically end up fertile after tragic cataclysms. Women can even tell you when destructive natural disasters are going to occur. You see.... Nature makes sure that the world can repopulate when necessary, by adjusting the female cycle ahead of a tragedy. Then it would be good to know if this is a world-wide phenomena, or limited to the US. I suggest a Pin. I had an "activation" years ago, with obe's, energy, etc. At that time, my cycle shortened like you are all describing. Also started the ear-ringing then. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 21106518 Well I don't live in Mexico.... I just thought of something. There should be a way to check the census listings for births, the year after large natural disasters (world wide). If there's a rise in birthrates the year after a tragedy, then my theory might hold water. (no pun intended LOL) Like after the Banda Ache (sp?) tsunami ????? Get yourself checked out for cervical, ovarian or uterine cancer. Wierd hormones, my butt! I know a woman who nearly bled out like you describe - a couple of Christmas' ago, she felt a bit tired and went to have a lie down. Her husband went to check her out as she didn't resurface for several hours, and lucky he did as she was only an hour or so away from bleeding out completely. She described the blood loss as incredible - her bed was soaked in it so badly they had to buy a new mattress and the ambulance officers who attended said it reminded them of a guresome murder scene. Took doctors a few weeks, but they found she had a very aggressive type of cervical cancer - she did not take a puzzled scratch on the head from doctors as an answer and pushed until they found the problem. Lucky she did as she is still with us today! Constant mentrual bleeding is not normal if you do not have an obvious cause (like childbirth or injury)- get yourself checked out... |

| Anonymous Coward User ID: 27946427 12/02/2012 09:39 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | 39 is NOT to young for perimenopause. It can begin 10 to 15 years before actual menopause. I didn't know this before I went through it myself. It can cause all kinds of bizarre symptoms, not just irregular periods. In particular, I had short-term memory issues, wild mood swings (not during my period), dry nails, and aching teeth. |
