Are women doubling up on menstual cycles lately? | |
| skyblau User ID: 26844291 12/02/2012 09:43 PM ![]() Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | For the last 3 months, around the time of the Blue Moon, my menstruating has been incredibly irregular. Almost non stop bleeding for 3 months now with an occasional week(ish) long reprieve. Since this last full moon there has been an obscene amount of blood as well. It's like a murder scene in my panties, haha. Also, in July I took a trip to the ER, as I had been driving to a friends house and felt like I had started bleeding, but when I got out of the car, blood started rushing out of me like crazy. I was wearing shorts over leggings and it went through both layers and just kept bleeding. I got extremely light headed from the blood loss and thought I was going to exsanguinate or something. The bleeding last a good hour and a half or so. The doctors never were able to tell me what the problem was, just told me that it must have been something weird with my hormones as I had gotten off the birth control shot about a month earlier. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only experiencing the inconsistency though. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28847327 Yes, same here with the extreme heaviness. I went to the ER over it to make sure everything was ok. They gave me a script for Iron defienciency due to the blood loss. If you are bleeding heavy now, start taking iron suppliments. I found if I put Nido in my coffee instead of creamer, it helped with my iron loss. |

| Anon Coward User ID: 28910250 12/02/2012 09:46 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Colorado here. I was just talking about this yesterday. I have always been on a 30 day cycle even after having children. I could set my clock by my cycle. In Sept I was 5 days early, Oct 5 days early and in Nov I had 2 periods. They have been heavier and lasting 7 days instead of 5 days. I said something was up with the moon and/or the Eclipses, now this thread confirms that it is widespread. Thank you OP!! |

If we are "adjusting" prior to a possible "event" then what we need to know is when are we all expecting to be fertile next? I just checked for me...it's about 12/10 with next cycle to start on... 12/23/12 Same for my daughter. |

Get yourself checked out for cervical, ovarian or uterine cancer. Wierd hormones, my butt! I know a woman who nearly bled out like you describe - a couple of Christmas' ago, she felt a bit tired and went to have a lie down. Her husband went to check her out as she didn't resurface for several hours, and lucky he did as she was only an hour or so away from bleeding out completely. She described the blood loss as incredible - her bed was soaked in it so badly they had to buy a new mattress and the ambulance officers who attended said it reminded them of a guresome murder scene. Took doctors a few weeks, but they found she had a very aggressive type of cervical cancer - she did not take a puzzled scratch on the head from doctors as an answer and pushed until they found the problem. Lucky she did as she is still with us today! Constant mentrual bleeding is not normal if you do not have an obvious cause (like childbirth or injury)- get yourself checked out... I'm only 22, so I doubt it's cancer, but it certainly is strange. I don't have any medical insurance. I don't know how in the world I could pay for tests. I've had numerous health issues lately that have gone undiagnosed and untreated as a result. In fact, I had another ER visit this summer because of unusually high blood pressure and chest pain, and was referred to a cardiologist after and EKG, but I just simply can't afford it. I'm not quite sure what to do. |

That being said, I'd just had my period 2 weeks prior at the previous eclipse. I have definitely noticed my cycle is speeding up...then again, I'm convinced the earth is rotating faster and thus time as a whole is speeding up. :) I'm 38 and live in Northern Michigan. |

They go up every year because of the population growth. I don't know how to figure per centage of increase. LOL - just not smart enough.
