Re: Are women doubling up on menstual cycles lately?
I posted about getting my period 8 full days early. I am a 26 year old female in good health.

Not only has my period come early but it is also unbelievably heavy. It usually lasts three to four days and it is still going after five days.

No possibility that it is a miscarriage or anything like that.

I am starting to get weirded out by this. Will go to the doctor if this happens again.

My wife and her friend have been experiencing this for the past few months. New moon, full moon, new moon, you get the idea. I wondered if this is a phenomenon that many women are experiencing, but don't talk about it. (At least to men.)

Thank you ladies for your comments.

Re: Are women doubling up on menstual cycles lately?
...Thanks OP ~ I have been wondering about this matter for a while, and have had around two menstrual cycles per 31 days, one of which is usually heavy whist the other only lasting a few days or so!
...It was very interesting to see the information about woman living longer, and the copper connection!!!! I think that must be a serious contender as regards an explanation....@ Agenda 21 and population reduction.

I may be wrong about this, yet what you say there could be 'breakthrough' bleeding from ovulation, especially since it lasts but a few days, and have heard it said that's hormonal signals not in synch, ie., switch-on progesterone that thickens uterine lining & is anti-bleeding.
So it follows that progesterone is not kicking in as it should.

Now another poster said she had the 'pre-ovulation sperm-friendly eggwhite' which is normal & signals a time when most likely to conceive, yet to excess could be another matter like maybe 'hyper-leutinized' ovulation which I've had personally and there is a difference by about twice the usual amount of clear 'eggwhite'.

Maybe trying yam based progesterone cream at ovulation continuing for 7 days can get us back on track?
I have not tried hormone creams but know this does help women who are pre-menopausal and one I know who's had a hyterectomy swears by this cream.
Not implying everybody is pre-menopausal, but this sure does sound as though this hormone isn't kicking in as it normally does.

I totally feel you on that. 'Status quo' is my achilles heel. Threads like this though give me hope that some larger scale 'changes' may be on the horizon. Though they are few and far between, I've seen some other threads/discussions that have given me reason to feel this is a real possibility.

My condolences to you (and all the ladies in this thread) regarding the P.M.S. doom.

Bumping this to see if any other women are still experiencing this.

Every 14 days for me now, on the nose. It's disconcerting. Nothing else is different - just the cycle.

I've been menopausal for two full years. Then my cycle resumed on 12/12/12.. which I thought was kind of funny and cute. Now it's back again today. I'm quite alarmed. Going to the dr. tomorrow.

I have been missing mine too.. and not pregnant. i am so annoyed because the bloating and cramps, then nothing.

haven't had one since early october.. wth?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2704006

I had that a few months ago. Bloating, cramps for over a week, and nothing. I actually searched on the internet because I was like wtf, is it possible to experience bloating and cramps and then NOT get it.

As for doubling up? No. Thankfully.

BUMP

Please keep posting about this. I know a woman who was infertile for years. And all of a sudden....

Also have heard of other impossible recent pregnancies.

My co-worker has been having the new moon/full moon periods.

Regular/clock work, all my life. Last month two periods, 17 days apart, I chalked it up to lots of travel in december. I am also ovulating twice this month.

Doctor said it was most likely from travel, that body was out of sync.

A new edition of the bestseller
• The first book to reveal in the West the Taoist techniques that enable women to cultivate and enhance their sexual energy

Reveals Taoist secrets for shortening menstruation, reducing cramps, and compressing more chi into the ovaries for greater sexual power
• Teaches the practice of total body orgasm

For thousands of years the sexual principles and techniques presented here were taught by Taoist masters in secret only to a small number of people (sworn to silence), in the royal courts and esoteric circles of China. This is the first book to make this ancient knowledge available to the West.

The foundation of healing love is the cultivation, transformation, and circulation of sexual energy, known as jing. Jing energy is creative, generative energy that is vital for the development of chi (vital life-force energy) and shen (spiritual energy), which enables higher practices of spiritual development. Jing is produced in the sexual organs, and it is energy women lose continually through menstruation and child bearing. Mantak Chia teaches powerful techniques developed by Taoist masters for the conservation of jing and how it is used to revitalize women's physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. Among the many benefits conferred by these practices are a reduction in the discomfort caused by menstruation and the ability to attain full-body orgasm.

That's what I have been going through the past 6 months or so. They have all been coming a week or two early and then they are lasting longer. I am typical for 5 days but now I am going for 7.

No... but I did, after I was on birth control for years. Beware, that shit's not good to be on for too long. It serves its purpose, but I advise women to take a break from it if you don't need it. The pull-out method works!

Interesting. I frequent a PGcy/Parenting board. There has been an insane uptick in natural twin pregnancies these past 2 years and even now. In just a small group of people. Also pregnancies with people that have been infertile for years. But the twin thing, that has been very weird to me. SO many people around, having twins, naturally.
