Hello, I don't have a lot of info, but I will share what I know.
What is happening in Mexico is the same thing as the middle east, Europe, and some Asian countries. People are fight for their rights.
Mexico was gover for. 70+ years by this poliartsy party. PRI. The last 12 year things started to change because of the election of the political party PAN. They were not the best but did some good chances to mexico. In this year 2012 the ppl had the chance to vote again for a new president whom will control for the next 6 yrs. for some reason the political party PRI won. Most ppl are not accepting this because they know the PRI is really just corruption. On the video the new president says if ppl don't accept him as president, to go say it to his face to see happens. So then ppl started to riot for their rights,

At least they aren't protesting US gold and silver mining ventures on their land.
