As long as you know what neighborhoods to stay out of and have basic street smarts you'll never get bothered. Don't go on the red line as a woman at 3:30am for example. If for some reason you need to be going through there act like you care about nothing other than the destination you have to get to. Don't look at thugs in the eyes twice. Most of these shootings are between gangs anyway and if you wanna get into a Chicago gang then death and shootings are part of the game. |

True, don't even go into certain neighborhoods after dark. Been that way for decades. However, since they tore down the projects, every part of the city and surrounding suburbs has the element of crime and violence in it. No place is totally safe anymore. Don't believe the news either. We're on pace to break 500 murders this year. Just this weekend.........
