I have no sympathy for the predator. He deserves jail time.
I have a cousin doing many years in prison for child porn. He had thousands of pics of toddlers and small children on his computer, and thousands more on an external hard drive. He tried to get out of it too, because he has Multiple Sclerosis and also cares for a disabled son. He used every excuse he could think of, bad home life, alcoholic Dad, etc.
There is no excuse for scum like him. IMO, there should be the death penalty for child predators.

No break for any pedophile! Sentences should be more severe than they are.

The real pedophiles don't go to the kid's home - they send them a bus ticket and pick them up in New York. In my opinion, the Dateline stuff is a thought crime.

I still don't know how these Dateline stings are not entrapment. Yeah it's good they get these people off the streets, but legally it has to be a very thin line.

A few decades ago this was ok. Its still ok in majority of the world. No matter how forceful we are and how many rules and regulations we create, mother nature always wins.

The thing everyone calls pedophilia is how the human race has survived for this long. How entire species have survived. How the stronger males won over the younger fertile females to produce more children.

I've no idea what the solution to this problem is. I think we've become civilized enough to not do it anymore since there are already enough people on this planet and we dont need anymore babies. But unfortunately so some, biology will triumph upon rules of society.

It is entrapment. Only law-enforcement by case law are allowed to lie for a confession once in custody.[because of the right to remain silent]
They can also not target individuals.
Just like the stolen car stings , they can only leave the door unlocked with the keys in them , and wait.
They can not call known car thief or possible car thief and tell them a car is at a location.

They can not stalk or hunt people to plant the item of their desire for a crime.

It is no different then planting a million dollars at the local crack house and waiting somebody to pick it up.

Dateline is not law-enforcement and could be sued for setting all these people up . The truth is the dateline video should never be used in court.What they are doing is not legal, and all these cases should have been thrown out.

The catch is that the law enforcement officer posing as a teen online is not advertising or soliciting the sexual conduct from the suspects. It is the suspect that is initiating the illegal/inappropriate behavior and that's when the crime occurs.

As if Chris Hanson wouldn't fuck that girl if she was asking for it.
