Earth-Worms surfacing in my yard EVERYWHERE!

Omg...there was a b rate movie back in early 80s called Squirm. If i remember cortectly the ground was hit by lighting and all the worms surfaced and took over. Thanks for the horrible flashback op!

Are you sure Rick Snider has not been in your yard lately?

The only thing that brings earth worms up would be water or electricity. Could be a magnetic pull.

My mother just said that last December the same thing happened. Due to freakishly warm weather. Could be just the weather....which raises another question... Why the freakishly warm weather these past few years? I have seen the studies that suggest every planet in our solar system is heating up... very weird.... I wonder what the hell is going on...

They are cannibal worms and they seek your flesh!!!

Do you have walnut trees? They possess a chemical called jugalone. You can look it up. If it rains around walnut trees, it leaches some of the jugalone out and it interferes with the passage of oxygen through their skin. That usually drives them up to the surface in a frenzy.

I don't know about now, but while at work this past summer on a dry hot day I saw A LOT of earthworms and grubs all over the parking lot.
They were just out there in the heat dying.

I'd never seen that before.
