I play a lot to another MMORPG about 12 years ago, for about 2 years, totally addicted.
I had much fun, made lots a friends. Yes in a way it was a waste of time, but as many other things that people do.
I don't regret this time period.

So I take it working 40+ hours a week isn't a huge time sink.

With my time I got money, but money don't buy time.

That's pretty much how I feel too. As long as you're enjoying it and it's fun for you; it's not a waste.

Not really true, as long as you enjoy playing it's not really a waste of time.

I used to play, but the kids nowdays are so fucking stupid and assholey that I didn't have fun playing anymore.

It's because they give everyone participation awards now.

Haven't played WOW. I used to play Ultima Online for about 2 years and had a lot of fun with that. PVPing, PKing. Made some cool friends, Hell I even met a hot chick and banged her. Good times.
Now I just play Halo once in awhile. All in all games have their time and place, just don't overdo it. That pretty much goes for anything though.It's all about balance. Now If I can just cut back on all this doom conspiracy stuff I should be ok.

why play a game, inside a game?

Cause the game inside of the game is funner.

You do get to meet alot of new ppl and even make new friends on WoW. But that goes for any other mmorpg as well.

WoW is the best game ever! Sadly I don't play anymore because I couldn't devote the time I wanted to it. Some of my interactions with other players were the best experiences Ive ever had and I will never forget.

I still play. I tend to play for a while after an expansion and then quit for several months until the next one.

I like that you no longer need to be in a guild to gear up. Raid finder works very well. That means I do it when I want to and not 3 or 4 set times a week like I used to in a guild. These days I play it for 3 or 4 hours a week or every other week. Very casual now :)

I have made a number of real life friends from it so no regrets from me.

Holy Pally and Holy Priest are my two main ones.

I just started playing holy on my paladin. It's more fun than I expected, to be a healer.

WoW is fuckin old.

Its a copy of Ashersons Call 2 which sucked.

They need to make a real Sequel to Asherons Call more like the first game and it would be the best MMORPG ever.


Its the only thing that can "kill" WoW.


Anyone who played AC1 and 2 knows what iam talking about.
