I think what is going to happen according to my take on Biblical Prophecy is that Syria is going to bomb Israel with chemical weapons ... they will do this to try and rally the Muslim world to accept and praise the Assad regime .... Then Israel will go nuclear and destroy Damascus.... read the Bible.

another take on the prophecy is that it says about destruction of Damascus however can it be certain that Damascus will be under Muslim rule when this occurs whats to say it isn't occupied by other society when it gets desolated, how about Damascus being renamed by the other society occupying the city ? would that account for Damascus being wiped out ?

So much for the resumption of flights. Going to be tough to receive Iranian or Russian resupply from the air if Damascus International Airport continues to be under fire. Also, with the rebels controlling most of the border posts along the Turkish and Iraqi borders, going to be difficult to be re-supplied via ground as well.

We say WMD (Weapons of mass distruction) but in this cse it means weapons of mass death/killing.

About 30K have been killed in syria so far, in a year.

Yesterday, as I was looking through my twitter feed there were reports in some part of Turkey that residents were complaining about an attack that was going on. Many of the people were complaining of eye irritation and the in ability to breath.
I didn't carry the information to this site because on twitter you can never be sure if it is true or not. However, the fact a news blurb has surfaced today and the United States issued a statement regarding the use of chemical weapons means only one thing, they are in use.
Assad is about to do something that has only been done a handful of times.
Russia is meeting with Turkey so they can assure themselves of having the water port that Syria currently allows them to have use of.
Hopefully this situation will de-escalate soon. However I feel that it will get out of control before and spill into Lebanon, Jordan and Turkey before the other countries will commit themselves to full intervention.

Yesterday, some airlines announced that they would be running flights again, and the government maintains it's open - however, as far as we can tell, all the international flights to the airport were either cancelled today or were never confirmed to have landed:
