If you smoke every day it's an addiction.
Point.
Good thing to quit and then go after the reasons for your addiction.

It took me awhile to recognize that I was addicted.

Judging by some of the strong responses I would say some others are addicted as well but in denial.

I remember the first time i smoked i didnt even get high. The second time tho i got super baked. It was in that second experience that i recognized how powerful the herb was. Had the time of my life. It started once in awhile, then once a month, then every friday and weekend, then everyday before school.

This was in highschool. Now when I smoke I just get relaxed and its just a habit to smoke if somethings bugging me and I want to feel relaxed.

I will break the habit though.

I still think weed has healing properties but like anything else, when abused it can be destructive. I learned the hard way but now I know.

Well, here is one problem for you: you started smoking in high school. So that, what, makes you 23 at the most? You shouldn't be smoking every day simply because of your age. Your brain is still developing. Let it alone until you're 25, then smoke again. And try sativa, rather than indica, strains. Indica sticks you on the couch; sativa opens your mind.

AND you are NOT addicted. Marijuana is NOT addictive. It is HABIT-FORMING, but it IS. NOT. ADDICTIVE. You do not have physical withdrawal symptoms of any note. If this were true, America could be full of people running around in absolute pain every time their supply ran dry for three or four days. Addicts will commit crimes and let other people put their stinking penises in their mouths for money.

Have you ever contemplated sucking a 300lb man's cock in a parked car in a garage or some shit?? Have you contemplated beating an old woman's head in so you can maybe get enough money for a bump?

No? Then you are not addicted.

Have you been wracked with bone-breaking bouts of shivering, nausea, cramps, paranoia, anxiety, asking God to kill you? Fevers, diahrrea? No?

Well, then, you just have a mild weed habit.

You are not on a "path to recovery." Don't pity yourself and think that quitting weed is anything like quitting painkillers or crack or heroin. Pot heads don't "recover," they simply quit. Anyone who has gone through rehab would read your little story and laugh until they had shit stains in their pants.

Sorry for the harsh response. But kid, you're just a weed smoker, pot head, crispy critter. No different than tens of millions of others who've gone down the path. Quitting pot? Go ahead. But don't blow your pot problems out of proportion.
