Why do you give a fuck what other people do on December 25th?
You obviously don't celebrate and you obviously have no use for the holiday, why must you piss on those that enjoy the day? Does it make you feel better about yourself to whine about something so trivial when there's so much other shit going on out in the world you could instead focus your anger and bitterness on?

I will answer why I buy gifts, not why others do nor will I bother going into the history of the pagan celebration, none it has anything to do with why I do what I do. I buy gifts because I can. That's it. My kids need shit, I get it for them. Of course I could buy their clothes and books and what not any other day of the year and I do but I see no harm in buying stuff and wrapping it up and letting them have a bit of fun on Christmas day. Everything they get is useful and needed so I don't see it as a waste. I'm not religious.
