I'm going to say they are 1) they are taking time off for Christmas...have they ever done this before?

OR

2) They want to fearmonger more, and what better way.
SPEAK UP. SILENCE IS DEADLY!

I am currently experiencing life at several WTFs per hour.

Re: Something strange: Army and other essential services shutting down for 12/21/12??
This was debated to death yesterday. Two main schools of though emerged:

1. The Ministry of Defence is so severely broke that they are desperate.
2. Something 'invasion' like is expected for this period so military chiefs want to disperse their most valuable assets (ie. trained personnel) as best they can without causing panic. Make sure everyone isn't sitting on easily targeted bases.

The first argument seems absurd if you think about it for a few minutes. The money saved would be insignificant. They will still have to light and heat bases (it's winter here in the UK and if they just turn off the heating they will end up with burst pipes and big problems - plus they will have to keep the lights on for security). Also, as some pointed out, the MOD aren't going to be on electricity meters at domestic rates, they will have big set deals with the energy suppliers, so its doubtful they would save anything. Same goes for catering and other outsourced contracts - they will be paying the same whether they use them or not.

The second argument seems radical but makes a lot of sense, especially when combined with the mountains of other evidence (albeit mostly circumstantial) that vaguely points to something happening. A few things can be ruled out though. They wouldn't be dispersing if it was natural disasters they were worried about as it would make logistics, organisation, command and control very difficult. More sensible to keep troops on bases so they can be organised quickly. It also does not gel with a terrorist threat as I doubt any terror group could target all our bases or even breach their security.

It does make sense, however, if you are expecting a massive invasion using overwhelming force. Get the trained personal dispersed all across the nation. If they aren't moving large equipment, like tanks, artillery and aircraft, it could mean that they either expect them to be lost within the first few hours anyway or that they simply don't think they can risk the panic such obvious movements would cause - given the nervousness in the public mind about the date.

Either way it is very worrying. If we are that broke then its time to have a revolution and get rid of the system. If its the later then its time to really be afraid. Of course, it could just be that politicians have come up with the idea and forced it upon the military - politician's stupidity knows no bounds.

The key here is to find out if other nations are doing similar things. I would be very shocked to find out that our 'dynamic and forward thinking' government were the only ones to take concrete action to heed a far-fetched sounding warning of impending doom. I could much more likely see our chaps sitting around their bases drinking cups of tea and eating bacon sarnies as the apocalypse unfolded around them.

It is not unusual for the US military to draw down to essential personnel only for the week of Christmas.

The 21st is, obviously, the Friday before. More info needed before any conclusion can be suggested.

I think they know it's going to be a very harsh winter and soldiers, being physically fit, will probably be exxpected to help keep everything moving.

Agreed, but this is truly unprecedented. This is basically emptying the bases - of all UK land forces, even in Germany, Canada, Kenya, Belize etc. - at lest according to the news reports. This is in addition to the normal leave given to some troops over Christmas.

There is no doubt that it is a legit story - its reported in many places here in the UK. The question is why? Its a balls up whatever. As has been pointed out such a drastic action is very much a morale sapper.

But in that case you would want them to stay on bases - not disperse all over the country. You would want them to be with the plant machinery and off-road trucks and vehicles that they have on bases.

Very odd. I'm not buying the saving money bs. It will probably cost them more to have so much personnel moving off base and then back a few weeks later and as you said the heating will stay on or pipes etc would burst.

Something is definitely going on and whatever it is, it's major

Re: Something strange: Army and other essential services shutting down for 12/21/12??
Here I repeat the reply I made in a similar thread yesterday:

"I believe this decision is linked to the elections for Police & crime commisioners that have taken place across the UK recently.
There are now 41 commisioners that are all party hacks (Conservative, Labour etc) each one of these commisioners have the authority to fire or employ a Chief Constable for their area.
Before there were local committees.

If all these servicemen have gone home, and then an emergency occurs, individual servicemen will be told (ordered) to report to local police stations for duty.
They won't go back to their military units.
They will come under the command of the police authority - this will be accepted due to the seriousness of the 'emergency situation'.
The British Army/Royal Marines will cease to exist as a viable fighting entity in the UK.

These soldiers will have to take their new orders from a new authority, controlled by the police, which in turn is controlled by the new commissioners, who take their orders from top party bigwigs, who in turn are controlled by the secret societies/Rothschild Central Banking chumps.

So in effect.....our military has been simply neutered, and at the same time made into a new security force, which will have a bolstered, strengthened set of individuals join their ranks.
And being obedient toy soldiers they will obey the government of the day. (no matter how skewed it is)

Very crafty people these secret society types.

Bye Bye Gt Britain!"

Further to that, it occured to me that the empty camps/ bases could be used like the FEMA camps in the USA - as someone suggested - to preserve the breeding stock!
Also, the firearms on the military camps/bases could be removed to a central secret location.....maybe out of the country, that way our armed forces would be neutered even more, if soldiers realised what was going on (they were having their small arms taken away from them)and if they wanted to re-arm themselves - they would be unable to do so.

This military development reminds me of Operation Blackjack. For some reason, I believe we are at the dawn of a New Age and even Operation Blackjack very much mentions Aquarius and Operation Nephilim in many of its slides.

Ancients have long thought that something is returning around this period....the gods, they say, are returning and even the PTB don't know what this would mean when this event does occur.

Dispersing the military seems to be a good idea in the face of an unknown enemy/situation. But I do still think they might pull off Operation Blackjack in line with this very much anticipated event and having the military dispersed seem to be a good idea.

Still in the thought process of the entry into a New Age which warrants all these odd actions, listen to the trailer of Call of Duty Modern Warfare at the 33 second marker.

Just something to think about. I just saw a clip of an interview with that super smart American/Asian scientist (you know, the one with white hair who is always on TV), he was being asked by a news anchor about the possibilities of Alien invasion. He answered that we were either so insignificant that aliens wouldn't bother with us, or that we could expect pretty much all of our conventional forces to be taken out within the first moments - leaving us with guerilla warfare as the only realistic option.

Like I said before; disperse the most valuable assets (ie. trained soldiers) without causing alarm. You simply can't disperse heavy weaponry within the UK without it being obvious - and would there be any point as they could expect to be lost within hours.

After researching things since I was about ten (I'm thirty now), I've long held the belief that the 'Gods' are aliens and that they are going to come back. Not sure if it will be an invasion as such, but I don't think our governments are sure either.

I also think it is plausible that the entire derivative markets were set up by super smart people in order to 'cook' the books and enable funds to be diverted to secret projects on a massive scale. Everyone is scratching their heads now asking how could people have thought these financial instruments were sustainable in the first place. I think they were never meant to be sustainable. The entire financial markets apparatus are basically a 'front business'.

You have a great mind my friend. You are right on these points...

1. The gods are returning and the truth of our existence is far beyond the mainstream published and accepted facts. I have covered this in my ET Contactees thread.

2. The financial system is a big Casino and it's collapse is also contrived. The system serves no further use or won't stand in the face of what's coming. You wonder why the system is being made to fail when not threatened and could still enslave the masses for another millennia. Why are they causing a collapse which does nothing other than to wake people up to their enslavement? What comes to mind is that what's coming will collapse the system anyway so it is just better they do a controlled demolition.

3. In the face of a massive solar flare or EMP either contrived or supposedly done by the gods which takes out all electronics, the Army is pretty much useless. Like you said, the only thing left would be guerrilla warfare. It's no use keeping the Army together when all their equipment is rendered useless. They could pretty much be sitting ducks.

Don't forget to add in the drug trade, income tax and trillions missing from the military budget.. When you add it all up, intercontinental supersonic underground trains and massive lunar cities are quite possible.

The only question left is why would they not simply go off world and leave us here to fend for ourselves? Why suffer in underground lairs rather then find a new planet of your own and let us eat each other on earth? If I were them, I would never look back.

Actually when you look at the scope of the web that is the system, you can't help but stand in awe of the raw intelligence it took to weave it, and that's just taking into consideration what we do know about. With that level of thought and that amount of resources available to them, there must be more at play then a few complex of advanced bug out locations, if they don't have an extensive colonization program elsewhere, its because they are not allowed to.
