Thats not an EMP, Thats a transformer blowing up. Look up footage from Sandy or whatever storm, you will see the same thing over and over. Blue/green flashes almost always are transformers blowing up. If it would be an EMP then all the car's driving on the highway would have stopped i gues (if it was to shoot that far)..

The video camera was still working, the car still running, all the on-coming cars still running and all their headlights still on. How could it be EMP ? It was just normal lightening.

Hate to burst your bubble, but research has indicated that vehicles that are running or not running have little to no reaction to a EMP blast...

I almost used the bs flag on this one because of exactly the same thing you noticed - the cars were still running.

I am still a bit skeptical that this was indeed an EMP blast versus just a lighting strike or transformer blowing, however I can not confirm neither - all speculation on my end.

The power went out as well as the radio, this indicates (to me) the radio station was on the same grid as the street lamps and other lights that went out at the same time.

I am corrected, the video camera was still running - something so important as that...

It's official to me now, this was not an EMP blast.

Definitely a transformer blowing, I saw a few of these while in New York during hurricane Sandy. The bright flash and then the lights went out.

This year alone saw TWO bright flashes like this, always facing South, but power kept going, and there weren't any clouds or storms nearby.

The sky gets illuminated like someone was taking a picture with a huge FLASH.

the most rational and likely explanation behind this video is that lightning struck a transformer and caused the blue flash. i have seen one struck before and it's brighter and spookier than anything else. but thats probably all it is.
