yes but i think the relevance of repentance is in the act of knowing and understanding (and hating) the consequences of your sin and fault.

i think people are deceived even by letting their children eat sweet, because that makes them sick and that is not the thing God wants for us

"I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have know covetousness unless the law had said, "You shall not covet."

"But sin, taking opportunity by the commandment, produced in me all manner of evil desire. FOR APART FROM THE LAW SIN WAS DEAD."

"I was alive once without the law (as a child), but when the commandment came, sin revived and I died."

Romans 7: 7-9

First sin kills you......and separates you from a holy God. When you are old enough to read and understand the law.....and then go out and deliberately break the law.....you die spiritually.....and are separated from a holy God.

For me.....at around the age of 8 or 9.....I stole some change......or perhaps it was a fib to my mother that killed me.

Hence, Christ said "Marvel not, you must be born again.".......born of the Spirit......indwelt by the Holy Spirit.

Once a person gives their life to Christ.....they are immediately indwelt by the Holy Spirit......born again of the Spirit.

They are immediately justified.....declared just.....declared "not guilty"......based on the shed blood of Christ. They are clothed in the righteousness of Christ......and viewed as white by the Father.

God's grace.....unmerited favor......is put upon them.

A born again believer is no longer under the law......but now under grace.

As such.....though their physical body is dead from sin.....they are spiritually alive and re-connected with God.

Since they are no longer under the law......they cannot sin. They might be involved in something bad (there is evil in the flesh).......but it is no longer viewed as sin by God.......because they are no longer under the law.

"For apart from the law......sin was dead."

Re: Christians please explain this
Romans 3:23 says "For ALL have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God."

Ephesians 2:9 "For it is by GRACE that we are saved and not of works, lest any man should boast."

I believe that when you are born again, you are given the indwelling of God's Holy Spirit who will convict you of your sins when you stumble and fall. Being born-again doesn't mean you will never sin again, it just means that we have the sacrifice of Jesus Christ as our Redemption for those sins.

This does not give us a license to sin but, rather, when we sin, it breaks our hearts because we love our Father and we know this grieves Him so we repent immediately. Our goal is to be sin-free while in our mortal flesh but that is impossible, for even God said in Isaiah 64:6 "But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away." Only through accepting Jesus as our Perfect Sacrifice can we be saved!

When you accept Jesus Christ as your Savior, all past and present sins are forgiven and, like the woman at the well, we are told to go and sin no more. Those who are TRULY born-again will do everything within their power as well as the power of God within them to not sin again but there will be occasions when the Spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. When that happens you repent immediately and get right back "on the horse". Even the Apostle Paul sinned as he said in Romans 7, "What I want to do, I don't do and what I DON'T want to do, that I do." But even he understood that his faith and trust in Jesus imparted life to his Spirit and helped him to overcome.

I think what John was talking about there is that when we have been born-again into the Bride or Body of Christ, God no longer sees us but His Son, Jesus who indwells us. Because Jesus was sin-free, God sees us as sin-free also when we shed this human form and become one with Him in Spirit. We must repent of future sins when we commit them (and we all do as long as we are in this mortal flesh), but in the end, when our Spirit is free from this body, we belong to Him and God, who is our Judge, does not see us but His PERFECT SON! Praise the Lord for that!

Not saying I am right but that is the Truth as I understand it. Pray and seek His Wisdom and Discernment in all things. He wants us to understand His heart.

Re: Christians please explain this
I would like to get your take on this the most controversial scripture in the Bible. If you say that you believe the bible then you have to believe this.

1 John 3:6-9

New King James Version (NKJV)

6 Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.
7 Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. 8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. 9 Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.

So please explain
 Quoting: 777 28334809

Hey, if I gave you my understanding you wouldn't accept it since you are baiting Christians to mock them, but I will try I suppose to explain what I believe.

In any re-born Christian there are really 2 "identities". Now you will say that is schizophrenia, but after studying the Word for over 30 years this is the best approximation using concepts our minds can currently conceive.

There is the old man, the person who existed before the Christian believed and was re-born. That old man exists in the flesh, perhaps memories sort of like a hologram however, that hologram is very real since it can actively affect your choices in the here and now.

Then there is the new man or "inner man" (Rom 7:22) that is of the Holy Spirit as it has been re-born of the Holy Spirit. This man cannot sin as it is literally of the Holy Spirit, a Son of God as Christ is the Son of God.

The dichotomy is this: both men the old and the new coexist somehow in someway in the person who walks in this world, reborn and yet not having died in the flesh to receive their eternal body. So, you see that person who walks this plane of existence can both sin (and does) and cannot sin since they are re-born of the Holy Spirit in essence, but since they are still in this plane of existence they are not wholly that new man, the old man still exists in some form to influence choices made in the here and now.

Sounds crazy right? Then again maybe cleverly conceived concepts from "scientific thought" (psychology) and mainstream religion have been constructed to prevent a person from seeing reality in this fashion. Or at least that is how I see it.

Re: Christians please explain this
This scripture is not controversial at all. It's simple really. The problem is we've had thousands of years of "religion" muddying up what the true message of the Bible is trying to get across.

Through the fall of Adam we inherited sin and death. Nothing we can do about it, we are filled with it. Whether you are a pastor or prostitute it doesn't matter, our destiny is the same. Death. None of us are any better than the other.

Christ, through his sacrifice has given all that will accept him a gift of eternal life and salvation. This is not something we earned, it was a gift from Him. From the moment we first believed, we are viewed differently by God.

God sees the beginning from the end. He is not limited by time in his perspective and doesn't need to wait until we die to see how things pan out for the decisions we have made in life. For those that choose not to believe, he sees their destiny and for those that believe he sees their destiny too.

This is where Johns message starts to seperate those in sin and those that are sinless. God views those that are "born again" as sinless and righteous. Since we can't occupy Earth, be in this human body and be without a sin nature, He is referring to how he views us in Heaven, not how we are now.

This is where folks start to get derailed and accuse "Christians" as professing to be holier than thou. We are not. We are just as eaten up with sin and underserving of any of the Lord's grace as the next person.
The difference is how we are all viewed by God.

And don't det me wrong. He loves each of us the same. Whether we are serial killers or a 90 year old women that attends church each day of the week, he yearns for us. ALL OF US. It doesn't matter to Him. He loves us all.

So to sum up your question about the verse, "born again" = being viewed as righteous and sinless by god albiet in our eternal home, and "he who sins" = someone who is an unbeliever and not accepted his sacrifice and gift of pardon for their sins.

His offer of grace and eternal life stands to anyone who will accept it, you just have to make that decision. If you do you will be viewed as "righteous" by Him regardless of your sins. Choose not to believe and you remain in sin.

You folks don't even really understand Sin.

Sin is simply the negative Charge.
Holy is the Positive Charge.

The Earth is in Sin, and the souls born into it take on that charge.

There's no lesser or greater sin...you're soaking in it, and you will die because of it.

You, as a negative creature, cannot even hope to do good works. The best you can do is feed your pride when you do something "Good", which is a sin unto itself.

The answer to the OP's question has to do with the inner-man and the outer-man.

Jesus Christ (Holy Spirit) is the inner-man who cannot sin. The outer-man is our sinful, fleshly self. All of mankind has the wicked outer-man, but only God's elect have the inner-man, Jesus or the Holy Spirit.

The inner-man IN US can never sin. The physical, outer-man will not stop sinning until the body is physically dead.

There is no contradiction in those verses.

-
1. Hate is inpatient,
2. Hate is unkind.
3. It envies.
4. It boasts.
5. It is proud.
6. It dishonours others.
7. It is self-seeking.
8. It is easily angered.
9. It keeps record of wrongs.
10. Hate delights in evil and rejoices in the lie.
11. It always harm

When you strip Hinduism of it's degenerated Dogma of castes, endless personal gods and goddesses, mistreatment of women etc...all the Satanizing...I believe what you have left is a solid spiritual science that Jesus Himself knew of and taught.

The Positive/Negative description of Sin and Holiness is derived from Esoteric mysticism which the Lord has revealed to me over the years.

In short, Jesus Christ knew his Torah, and the Torah knows it's Kabbalah.

As above, so below, and as within so without. Everything corresponds to everything else, macro and micro.

Therefore, when we study things like math and electricity, biology etc we can see that the universe itself functions in the same way.

-/+ interaction is the foundation of the entirety of conciousness. I AM versus I AM NOT.

So what you wrote about Sin up there is exactly what I'm saying. Sin encapsulates all things negative. When you truly understand that, you being to see why the Bible is so hard on Women...women are the negative polarity of Gender.

It is why all of the world's religions essentially teach that a woman is redeemed by a man.

It is why Homosexuality is such an affront to nature, in religion, because the energies involved cause spiritual short circuits.

This sounds like bullshit to me. First off, you are saying that all you have to do is say some stupid prayer, walk to the front of some church, and ask to be born again? Then, miraculously, Jesus appears at the door of your heart and in he comes? No, it can't be that simple.

It is fine for a Christian to think this way. Most Christians were born into Christian families. Some of them accept Jesus at age 5 or 6. But what about a person born into an Islam family or a family that practices Buddhism? Then, it would not be such a natural thing to accept Jesus. What you are saying is that the country you are born in should determine where you will spend eternity.

So I know of Christians who accept Jesus and then they go out and cheat on their wives, they cheat on their income taxes, they are full of pride, they are greedy and envy what their neighbor has. Are you saying they are born again just because they asked Jesus to come into their heart? That is bullshit. If you have Jesus in your heart, you SHOULD be perfect. Why did Jesus say, "Be perfect, as my father in heaven is perfect?"

Look at a person who is brought up to believe in Hinduism, for example. Maybe they are not materialistic, maybe they have more love in their heart than you could ever hope to have, maybe they are not proud, greedy, etc. And, yet, according to you, they would go to hell because they didn't raise their hand after some silly church service.

Most people just "accept Jesus" because they FEAR hell. If you look at the evidence, you will see that this is why MOST Christians accept Jesus. Then they do the little deed and go out and sin like everyone else. But they think that they are saved. That is bullshit. You are wrong.

Re: Christians please explain this
There is no contradiction. The contradiction is in the way it is being programmed into ones own belief system by the Liars that willfully distort the clear understanding that is in the scriptures. Sin is a state of being. That state of being manifests in selfishness and arrogance. If one is in proper accord with God in ones life, that one will transform by default into a state of being that keeps away from the fallen ego and its selfish ways that pushes its freewill over others. Sin as in vices is something a bit different, its a glitch in the computer we call the human body and soul. Many glitches we have to patch up as we mature in our abiding faith in Jesus Christ. If you are pure in heart you will allow God to patch up your glitches as you grow in His grace as one is led by the Holy Spirit who supersedes that Law of the glitches that you where born in and that you were conditioned in. Some glitches are soul damage done by others and sometimes by our poor judgements. In this case we still trust in Christ Jesus always who has saved us by His grace and that not of our own merits[efforts].

I'm not in the Occult. The Occult has been taken over by Satanists.

What I am into is forming questions and giving them to Christ, asking for God's will to be done.

These learnings are the result.

If I was into the Occult, I would feel terribly uncomfortable talking about Jesus Christ, my Lord and Saviour.

Jesus personally said there are teachings that are not given to everyone to understand, and that to the masses he must speak in parables so as not to upset those who aren't prepared or lack the capacity to "get it"
