I have a great idea for a T Shirt slogan...has anybody copywrite(d) sic anything before?

In most of the world copyright is a given for the creator of works. For example, in Europe, if you design something then it is your copyright. There are a lot of companies and greedy individuals in the United States who are trying to force a retarded version of 'registering' copyrights upon the rest of the world. This just helps big corporations and screws over small artists and designers.

But take it from someone who creates visuals for a living; unless you have a massive bank account to pay for legal action there is no way to defend your copyright globally these days.

This is the way it works: big companies defend their copyrights through legal action. Small guys can't do shit. Consumers and internet users steal the creations of both, and to justify it just scream about 'greedy corporate giants'.

Even if I own it, created it, and can prove it?

man dont listen to that guy, i know in my state there you can copywrite something for 100 dollars, now a federal copywrite is another story.

I just don't want somebody taking my idea after i have the T shirts on racks somewhere...What is a federal copywrite as apposed to a standard CR? I also was told I only need a Trademark...

state TM/SM means noone in your state can use your slogan or image without your consent. Federal one is good for the whole country and I believe you have to pay for it anually. state ones are good until you don't own the business/run it anymore. In my state at least

Google what you are attempting to copyright. It will give you an idea if somebody has already done it.

If you are doing t shirts, its hard to protect anything common.

If you notice on jersey shore, they do gtl and a bunch of other stuff.

Anybody can put that on a shirt, as its not a brand.

It's like yolo or any other stupid lol, ttyl and that kind of thing.

I did, and it's a very comical statment. nobody has it. I would like to market it countrywide, as our POTUS is national.

go to a lawyer, tell him the slogan and tell him you want a copyright/trademark to make it yours solely
