That God sacrificed himself, to himself, to remove the curse he put on us? Quoting: Kurdish Shepherd 28432374
Last of all, he sent his son to them. 'They will respect my son,' he said. But when the tenants saw the son, they said to each other, 'This is the heir. Come, let's kill him and take his inheritance.' So they took him and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. Therefore, when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those tenants? Matthew 21:40
Jesus is not His Father, the only God of the Old Testament.
Correct me if I am mistaken, so are you saying that God then had to sacrifice his Son to remove the curse he put on us in first place?...
Human sacrifices are prohibited by God in the Old Testament EXPLICITLY. An another mmisunderstanding of yours. Next?
Human Sacrifices prohibited by God, right?
And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.
Thou shalt not delay to offer the first of thy ripe fruits, and of thy liquors: the firstborn of thy sons shalt thou give unto me.
I think above verses from Bible should suffice that your God of Old Testament does approve Human Sacrifice. But let's do little math here.
It's clear that Adam and Eve were driven out of Paradise because of their transgression of the God's commandment, they sinned and because of them the curse was laid on whole humanity.
Romans 5:16 And the free gift is not like the result of that one man’s sin. For the judgment following one trespass brought condemnation, but the free gift following many trespasses brought justification.
Romans 5:19 For as by the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man’s obedience the many will be made righteous.
And we both know that according to Bible the salvation came through sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
If you were to insist that God of Old Testament and God of Jesus Christ are one and the same, then yes God of Old Testament did indeed sacrifice his Son, to remove the curse that he put on us in first place!...
