Re: My marriage is in crisis
Think of your marriage first OP. God knows you have tried
to have children. Pray about it and if it doesn't happen...
it may not be God's Will for you two. One thing for sure
is God's Will, marriage is a vow for life.

Read this recent message from Heaven, it will help you...

Be Faithful To Your Spouse

Children of My Divine Heart,
I Am that I Am. I Am the Alpha and the Omega. I Am, your Father on High, desires to instruct you now. Open your hearts. Open your hearts without condition. Surrender to Me. Give Me permission to transform you in love. Do not fear what is to come. Do not block My grace from entering within your souls. I have great plans to use you for My glory. O My Little Ones, do not prevent Me from acting. Many of you ignore My voice daily. Many of you reject My teachings, and break My laws. You wound Me terribly each time you refuse Me. You crucify Me anew, each time you break My commandments, and allow sin to take hold of your lives. I have sent you many, many warnings in the past. I have instructed you to seek My face, and to obey. I have invited you to change, to admit your wrongdoings, and to break free from Satan. Yet, daily millions fall to temptation, and place their souls in jeopardy. Beloved, you must live in holiness. Break free from pleasures of the flesh. Do not set your eyes on pornographic materials. Guard your souls with all your might. Remain blameless before Me. Do not compromise your values or the well being of those under your care. Be faithful to Me. Be faithful to your spouse, if you are joined before Me in love. Be faithful, and persevere in love. Work through trials, and grow in holiness. Pray for wisdom, each morning. Be content with your life. Do not think that things will be better with another. If you are separated from your spouse, you must honor that person, pray, and ask Me for guidance. Do not fall to adultery. Guard your marriages with great care. Satan will place people on your path in an attempt to destroy My master plan, and cause many in your care to fall into mortal sin. Be vigilant. Ponder these words. I leave you My kiss of peace. Shalom

Re: My marriage is in crisis
I think it is normal for a man not to desire children. For all the reasons you list. It is also normal not to want to get married, for many reasons all talked about here often.

But, when you fall in love that all changes. Suddenly marriage doesn't sound that bad because the thought of living the rest of your life without "her" seems so much worse.

Having a child can't be explained until you have one. It is like having a great puppy only x 1,000.

The love comes with the caring for the child who is dependent on you for 100% of everything. The more you hold, care for, feed, play with....the more you fall in love. A child is magical, they are your hope for the future.

It doesn't matter if the child is yours or not, they have a "light" a glow, their smile and laugh will melt the coldest of hearts. Their innocence, their desire to learn things is intoxication.

The ability to relive all your childhood joys, like Christmas, the Zoo, sports, camping, Disney land?.....all hold a new excitement through the eyes of a child.

Women instinctively know all these things, or they would never want to be pregnant.

Trust your wife, this will add to your lives, and look on the bright side, a pregnant wife is a drag for you and her and leaves permanent damage, (often).

Your fear is normal, millions of men have taken the same path and been rewarded by having their hearts opened up in a way they never regret.

Imagine the magic being brought back to Christmas, airplanes, trains, mud puddles, frogs, lizards, rainbows, fire trucks, sand castles, etc. then imagine growing old without anything to keep you young and hopeful for the future.

Re: My marriage is in crisis
OP, you are too selfish to have a child...just tell your wife you are a selfish prick and don't want to adopt some third world reject kid...
 Quoting: BRIEF

well, thats not fair! He is being very honest about his feelings (maybe should have been this honest before he married) however, it is what it is.

This is one of those things I call "god's little joke". Women have a seriously STRONG need for children. Men, think of how strong your daily sex drive is, and that is how strong (if not stronger) the desire for children are with women. A huge difference in men and women (in most cases). It doesnt make either one of them wrong, just different.

Now, as a woman, I had the same desire, had 2 kids and loved them beyond words. We were very very close during their childhoods. But I have to tell you, both of them have taken turns breaking my heart as adults. It got fixed, but that initial pain was more than I could bear at the time. I just about lost my mind, because I couldnt understand it. They were given support, nourishment, love, and discipline, so no reason for it.

Almost as if they knew that no matter what they do, Mom will ALWAYS love them and be there for them, while they become adults and work out their own shit.

Bottom line is, during those awful times with them, I have said that if I had it to do over again, I would have never had children.
