Pen and Teller, A study of propagandists.

I know i have a lot of typos guys im typing really fast and this keyboard is not the best. I'll do a proper study of there shows later it's going to be fun though.

Yep, their show was called "Bullshit." It was on Showtime for a while. Not sure if it still is. They put a humorous twist on their show, naturally. But that's because they've always had humor in their act. It's what people expect of them and it's what they do well.

Their show isn't fantasy. It's just a different way of looking at some things that's all. You're taking the show much too seriously. Although they do make some good plausible points in many of their subjects, the show is still pretty lighthearted.

Lighten up.

It's more than an act they are trying to be political and scientific. Each show they do is about a subject and about something, and they make conclusions. If it was an act they would not be making conclusions as if they were academics on a subject rofl.

but their show is just pure fantasy. in the presentation of like science, but it's not science it's a hit piece on whatever subject they decide.

Give me an example. Is there a specific show that irked you the most?

And yes, their show is overall fantasy, they don't make good points at all, their conclusions are based on their own biased pre-conceived idea that they have an agenda to have haha. how can it possibly be neutral? You got to get real at some point.

and that's the point trying to hide behind the banner of comedy does not escape the fact they are trying to debate something, with basically trick photography and unfair hit pieces that border on deceptive.

That is so no plausible. And you would have to be brain dead to think it is plausible, or in any context scientific, or in any context academic.

I've never seen someone try to be funny, and with magic tricks, while trying to be a journalist, while trying to look scientific.

It's just ridiculous.

not to mention yelling and swearing in your videos hahaha.

like explicit language in it, while trying to convince the viewer of something.

Actually now that you mention it, you are right. They bulldoze over every other idea and theory. Penn is like a big bully. But both of them are really smart, so I cannot see them actually being taken in by some of the stuff they come up with.

and you do magic tricks while conducting experiments in the lab, and you go out and report the news but you add bit and pieces to it depending on what you want to make up.

People don't actually get their news from Stewart and Colbert, that's just what some people say. You kind of already have to be up on the news to get what they're referring to on their shows, otherwise no one would get the jokes.

Since it's a made up act. I'm only going to study it as a piece of propaganda, like the fantasy show it is, not actually debate with them, because it's not a debate it's a hit piece on whatever subject they do.

I noticed that only the political irrelevant threads ever get pinned too. Like no decent spiritual or decent threads ever get pinned at all.

I see loads of good threads that never get pinned and all the pinned ones I never even hardly click on! due to irrelevance.

The thing that's really revealing is you don't vote to pin a thread, so you never actually get the threads people want pinned. You only get whoever is in charge of the site their agenda pinned.
