Understand "the wages of sin is death" but by grace we are saved. Grace is forgiveness of sin or that we may continue in sin such as observing the wrong day of worship. The only way to get grace is by repenting, and repenting means to sin no more. No repenting, no grace.

where does the bible say, 'It is wrong to worship on this day'?

it is quite okay to worship on any day.

God sanctified the 7th-day. It is God's Sabbath. He is Lord of the Sabbath.

Dont complicate the issue as if we are not Christian every day.

Re: seventh day adventists are a satanic cult
Like Christmas, Sunday is a doctrine of men - it comes from the Roman Church who changed the day long ago. This would break God's 4th commandment about his Sabbath and god's 1st command about following other gods. Sunday comes from the sun worshiping religion of Rome.

more here with that history

[link to www.sabbathtosundaychange.com]

"Know you not, that to whom you yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants you are to whom you obey; whether of sin to death, or of obedience to righteousness?" (Romans 6:16)

And yes we are commanded to 'rest' on the Sabbath (Saturday) that is to commemorate creation and the Creator as it says in the fourth commandment (see: God's 10C Law, Ex 20)

How God expects us to observe the day is also well understood by his people who read his word:

Is 58:13 If you turn away your foot from the sabbath, from doing your pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honorable; and shall honor him, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words: Then shall you delight yourself in the LORD; and I will cause you to ride on the high places of the earth, and feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father: for the mouth of the LORD has spoken it.

Ez 20:12 Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD that sanctify them.

Ez 20:20 And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that you may know that I am the LORD your God.

Hebrews 4:4-8 For he spoke in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works. And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest ... For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. There remains therefore a rest to the people of God.
 Quoting: - 29002615

Here is some of what God commanded the Israelites about the sabbath:

12 Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee.

13 Six days thou shalt labour, and do all thy work:

14 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.

15 And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the Lord thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the Lord thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.
(Deuteronomy 5:12-15)

Please note these important details:

* God commanded the Israelites to keep the sabbath, because He rescued them from slavery in Egypt. Nowhere in that passage did God say anything about what Christians should do.

* Nowhere in that passage did God say "Christians must go to church on the sabbath". God said Israelites must stay home and not work on the sabbath. Not the same thing at all.

* Nowhere in that passage did God say "Christians must not go to church on sunday". There is nothing about sunday at all in that passage.

God commanded the Israelites to stay home and not work on the sabbath. God did not command the Christians to go to church on saturday and refrain from going to church on sunday.

God commanded the Israelites to do a lot of other things regarding the sabbath, such as executing people who break the sabbath, for example. Do you execute sabbath-breakers? Or do you think "Go to church on saturday" is a good enougn approximation to what God commanded the Israelites to do?

You can't focus on one detail "what day is the sabbath" and ignore all the other details, such as "who did God command to keep the sabbath", "why did He command them to keep the sabbath", "what did He command them to do on the sabbath".

Nowhere in the ten commandments or anywhere else in the bible did God command "Christians must go to church on saturday".
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28988802

The Israelites were God's people coming out of Egypt. There were no Christians at the time. The Israelites were being reminded of God's law. God's 10C law has been from creation where God rested the 7th day. This was before there was any Israel. Noah kept the law; Abraham kept the law. All God's people follow God's law.

Jesus then told us in the NT to continue to observe God's 10C law.

-

Mt.19:16 "And, behold, one came and said to him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? And he said to him, Why call you me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if you will enter into life, keep the commandments. He said to him, Which?
Jesus said, You shall do no murder, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness, Honor your father and your mother: and, You shall love your neighbor as yourself."

The disciple asked, which law, not knowing if Jesus meant the law of Moses or God's 10C law. Then Jesus names a few to explain God's law which law.

Mt.5:19 Whoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Jn 5:16 "And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day." (and, Mt 12:1)

-

Jesus is "Lord of the Sabbath" and knows how the day is to be observed. The pharisees do not. They had set extra rules not found in the OT books (Law & Prophets). Jesus broke no law; whoever told you this?

Re: seventh day adventists are a satanic cult
ANY denomination that has an international ministry & missions will be 501c3 and UN affiliated. This only means you work with the state laws no different than when Jesus paid taxes and took the census. Jesus also preached in synagogues registered with the Romans who were ruling then.

Water baptism? Really? It is biblical.

While SDA may have some problems around Ellen White, the critics often have even more problems i.e. Christian-Zionists. They attack SDA because of the SDA lack of support for modern state of Israel. (such are 'spirituallysmart' & 'jesus-is-savior')

Ellen and James are buried under markers like any others. There is an obelisk in the graveyard. So get your story straight. And the obelisk is a SUN RAY. But you have no interest in exposing the biggest sun cult in the world in Rome and her daughter churches.

SDA are a denomination that has error like all other denominations. Christian Zionism is a Jesuit creation from the beast in Rome. Still I wouldnt call the many Christians deceived by this 'satanic'.
 Quoting: - 29002615

Who cares what the 'critics' say. The Word is all that matters.

True, there are tons of satanic cults, but this thread is about the SDA satanic cult. SDA is the most deceitful though, because most others can be smelled a mile away. SDA is sneaky.

If a person wants to get water baptized, fine.

SDA satanic doctrine teaches that water baptism is required for salvation.

That is blasphemy. (Eph. 2:8)

Again, I'm not calling anyone anything. The Word is the only judge.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 7254491

There are a lot of Christian denominations in error about many doctrines, that does not make them 'satanic'. They may have been founded by agents of satan but the Christians within are just misled like most others.

You say:

Eph 2:8 "For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:"

-

Understand "the wages of sin is death" but by grace we are saved. Grace is forgiveness of sin. This doesnt mean we do not need baptism. The verse doesnt say that and no doctrine is built upon any one verse.

Jesus set the example for his new followers with baptism that symbolizes the coming resurrection.
-
"Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." John 3:5

"He that believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believes not shall be damned." Mark 16:16.

"Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. ... knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin." Romans 6:4-6
-
 Quoting: - 29002615

There are well meaning Christians within many different cults, but that does
not justify the cult. SDA was founded by agents of satan and remains run by same.

The spiritual headship of SDA promotes the heresy of ecumenical "religious liberty" - [link to www.adventistliberty.org]
as opposed to God's truth (John 14:6, 8:24).

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6)

Anyone that teaches that salvation is by anything other than grace through
faith in Christ (Rom. 10:9-10, 13, Gal. 2:21, Eph. 2:8-9) is satanic according
to God (John 8:37-44).

Catholics teach one has to bow to an idol and eat a cracker.

SDA teaches salvation is by works including water baptism. The heresy can be
seen right in the title of Witch Ellen White's book "Steps to Christ," which
teaches that one is not saved purely and completely by the grace of God, but
rather only through striving to be 'Christ like.'

John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one
mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to
unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire (Luke 3:16)

For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy
Ghost not many days hence.
(Acts 1:5 and see Acts 2:41, 19:2-5)

Mark 16:16 then must mean the baptism of fire with the Holy Ghost which is
purely through faith in Jesus Christ, not being dunked under water.

And likewise John 3:5 must mean that since all are conceived in sin (Ps. 51:5),
one is born of the water of their mother's womb unsaved, and must be born
again through baptism by fire with the Holy Ghost.

even without the involvement of that witch, God reproves sda's teachings as heretical and their spiritual headship as corrupt

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 7254491

You will need to prove that with the Bible. Such as, name one?

Many are reproved above. Read the thread.

Having women preach in the pulpits is blasphemy.

But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. (1 Tim. 2:12)

Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law.
And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church. (1 Cor. 14:34-35)

God's Word could not be clearer on the matter. (2 Pet. 1:20, Prov. 30:5-6)

This evil world is always tyring to creatively circumvent the Word to subject God to this evil world (Gal. 1:4) instead of subjecting this evil world to God.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 7254491

Im not defending Ellen White, only the doctrines of the SDAs, most I find biblical.

SDA dont use female pastors at this point. Ellen was said to be a prophet, not a pastor. There are examples of OT female prophets God used. Although Ellen White and other SDA founder were wrong about a couple of doctrines (Earth Beast & Sunday Laws) most of what are in her books was just common Christian well understood theology of the day, since lost by most of Christianity.
 Quoting: - 29002615

Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. (Genesis 3:1)

Many satanic cults teach biblical doctrines, but slip in just a few of their father's lies making them corrupt.

Rat poison is 99% food, and 1% poision, yet it's sufficient to kill the consumer.

SDA churches absolutely utilize female pastors. Talk about polluting the Lord's sabbath by supplicating to a woman preaching the gospel.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 7254491

God did say that, but You are not understanding what was said.

Grace, again, is the forgiving of sin. Faith is the 'faith of Jesus' that includes keeping God's 10C law, and under that law is the 1st commandment: to "have no other gods" meaning we do all of the Bible cover to cover, except that which was "nailed to the cross" (Col 2:14-17) the Jewish sacrificial system, for we are saved by faith not of works of that system. 10C Law & faith (Rev 14:9-12)

Grace is not your get out of jail free card to continue in sin. Where there is sin there is no grace. Repent of sin = grace.

Kolbrin would be a gnostic text without any Christian support. We have all the Christian books in the Bible.
 Quoting: - 29002615

Jesus taught that there are things which should be approached with humility of spirit, they are: holiness, wisdom and nobility. Humility bestows upon the soul the benefit of harmony and attunement. A man once said to Jesus, "But who can define these things, that which is holy to one man can be unholy to another. The thing which one man holds sacred another holds to be an abomination. That which one will bless another will curse". Jesus said, "The many nations and men, because of the diversity of their natures hallow many different persons, places and things, apart from their gods. But nothing can be made holy by men alone, neither can anything wholly of Earth be holy. That which is wholly of and for God is holy, the place wholly for God is holy and the person who lives wholly for God is Holy, but where on Earth can such absoluteness be found?"

"If by gathering in a temple men feel they can better commune with God, then He will be there and that place will be holy. If within a circle of stones or before a symbolic image the soul of man may be stirred to attunement, then God will not absent Himself because of the Nature of the Place. He will meet man wherever man earnestly prepares for His coming. Though the temple may be holy to one man and the circle of stones to another, both places will be hallowed by God, if therein the souls of men are elevated to commune with Him".

"A structure of splendour, magnificent in its architecture, called holy by men who worship there, if their spirits remain asleep and unstirred will not be hallowed by the presence of God. he does not honour places where men just congregate, where their voices alone are raised in worship. He hallows the place where their souls and spirits are uplifted as they seek communion with Him. A Holy place is where the uplifted spirits of men blend with the nature of God".

(Deuteronomy 5:12-15)

Neither Adam and Eve, Abraham, nor Noah were slaves in Egypt rescued by God. Nor were the Christians rescued from slavery in Egypt by God. It was the Israelites, nobody else. God only commanded the Israelites to keep the sabbath.

There is no way people can change any of the commandments in the old testament to "Christians must go to church on saturday". If you are willing to change Israelites to Christians, change stay at home and don't work to go to church, then why even bother pretending you are obeying what God commanded?

* God did not make a commandment requiring Christians to go to church on saturday.

* God did not make a commandment forbidding Christians from going to church on sunday.

* Christians can go to church on any day they want to.

* God commanded the Israelites to do many things on the sabbath. Nobody who says they are keeping the sabbath obeys all those commandments.

The SDA Church have their own hospitals and schools. They educate females, too. Many do train for the ministry. They are not ordained as pastors. A few women have been assigned a post similar to pastor.

I'm not disagreeing with you about female pastors and neither will most SDAs. This is not one of their doctrines but a liberalism that has crept in.

Re: seventh day adventists are a satanic cult
Pretty good dialogue going on here. I am thankful for most of the comments and make no judgements at all on either the charges made against the SDA church or its founder Ellen White and her husband James white. As a very real matter of fact, Ellen White correctly foretold the state of the church today as it stands. As one poster stated, there are many churches which call themselves SDA, but have never heard or discuss the writings of Ellen White. I try my best to understand what even the staunchest of critics say and why they feel the way they do. Quite frankly, I have looked over the material posted and checked the links to see if there was anything there that I have not seen before. Again, quite frankly, I was disappointed at the scholarship involved. I just found mostly grasping at straws.

Unless nobody has really noticed, the entire world is falling into apostasy. A whole bunch of "reformed" SDA's are calling for the same thing as the OP--"come out of her my people". They think themselves enlightened and make judgement upon them, and I can fully understand why. Most simply do not want to be looked upon as "fringe" or cultic and they certainly do not want to experience tribulation. For many, their 'gods' have become their health message, the Sabbath question, doctrinal differences, vegetarianism, and a number of other things. I still love them dearly just as I do many of other denominations, and I fully expect many of them to respond to the "straight and true testimony" called forth by the True Witness to the Laodiceans which represents lukewarmness in ALL the churches on earth in these last days of earth's history.

The enemy of souls has had a field day with the SDA church. There are champions of God there just as there are everywhere. God has His agents throughout the world and in the palaces and courts and political institutions, holding back the tide of evil untill all things are in place. There are many "sighing and crying for all the abominations in the earth--not the least being our own beloved church. Who do you think Satan will FIRST send his agents to? To those churches who are already under his control. No, he will try to subjugate God's people who are SEEKING to do God's will and have not fallen to Satan's delusions and deceptions. As the Lord said to Elijah in his darkest hour, He still has His 7000 who have not bowed to Baal. He was not alone and neither are we. As the OP stated, all of Ellen White's writings are there for anyone to read at their leisure for free. I have read ALL of it over the last 40 years, and I am the most critical reader of anything. She has done nothing but open the scriptures to me in wonderful beauty. Mock on you soldiers of the cross if that is what is called from you. I have studied every religion on earth over these last 40 years, and I have come away wanting until I found a book completely by "accident" which filled every yearning in my soul for truth. Did the church fill my need? Absolutely not. We cannot trust in the "arm of man"--however enlightened he may appear to be. We cannot make blanket statements about New Age thinking any more than we can about anything else. Just because similar language is used does not make us New Agers. Most of what Ellen White wrote was in the 1800's. Because someone picks it up and uses the same words such as "Mother Earth", it does not make the original writer New Age. The "proof" of her "witchcraft" is very poor at best, and outright lies at worst. In all that I have read and seen, she was just a very humble woman who had several children and only one man in her entire life. She dressed VERY conservatively, and donated untold millions from her writings to hospitals, sanitariums, churches (many of which she raised herself), and untold amounts of money to needy people throughout the world--often right out of the blue and at exactly the moment it was needed. This was all at a time when there were no "writeoffs" or tax deductions for charity. No amount of mockery can change that. She was the most prolific writer in history (either male or female), traveled the entire world and established churches all over the world that still stand today--often facing adversity which would wilt most of us. This is my story and I will gladly stand with the people of God when the enemy comes to destroy us.
 Quoting: Zerubbabel

According to God, Ellen White daring to declare an exact date for Christ's
return, and which prophesy of course failed, reveals her to be not only a false
prophet (Deut. 13:3-5), but a blasphemer (Matt. 24:36).

All her righteousnesses, according to God, were filthy rags (Isa. 64:6) as were
Ghandi's and are Angelina Jolie's (1 John 4:3).

God says to live by God's every word (Matt. 4:4). White's exceedingly prolific
personal interpretations of God's Word (Deut. 4:2, 2 Pet. 1:20) and blatant
new age occult language further convict her. Using terminology such as
"Mother Earth" unmistakably constitutes idolatry (Rom. 1:25), and referring to
the Holy One of Israel as "The Coming One," and the Holy Ghost as "Vital
Force" and "Life Forces," is clearly contrary to Matt. 4:4, Deut. 4:2, and Prov. 30:5-6.

SDA teaches their cult is God's chosen.

Any spiritual headship such as SDA that is yoked with satan's UN and World
Council of Churches is necessarily corrupt. There will necessarily be false
teachers in the pulpit sympathetic to the UN's ecumenical antichrist agenda.

Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth?
I tell you, Nay; but rather division (Luke 12:51)

Christians are a fucking Satanic cult. They avoid any real critical thinking and deny god's blessings in the form of psychoactive plants. You cannot know christ unless you die and are saved. . . Through the ego death that psychedelics provide.

adventist are one of the most wonderful people that ive met. they are down to earth and respectful. a lot of them love to serve the community by helping the poor and sick. ADRA, their relief agency helps about 25 million a year. from what i saw they like to emphasize that man should follow christ, help the community and try to live a healthy lifestyle. where i live there's a whole bunch of them, here in loma linda, and ive seen nothing but nice things from them.

Many satanic cults teach biblical doctrines, but slip in just a few of their father's lies making them corrupt.

Rat poison is 99% food, and 1% poision, yet it's sufficient to kill the consumer.

SDA churches absolutely utilize female pastors. Talk about polluting the Lord's sabbath by supplicating to a woman preaching the gospel.

Op you are far more "subtil" than any of us are. You are telling outright lies (or somebody else's lies) In my 40 years in the church, I have not seen one female preacher. I have heard that some "reformed" churches may have them or some of the fringe elements. I think that most of what you are saying is just hearsay. Why not stop being an anonymous coward and come out into the open and tell us who YOU are. It's easy to talk crap as an AC. We are trying our best to "reason together" as the Scriptures tell us to do--even with God. Where is your love for the sinner that you seem to think that we all are? I have seen all this and "your kind", thinking that they have a monopoly on the truth and push it on others in very unchristian ways as you are doing here. Come out into the open OP. Register your account and really enlighten us to the truth--not just spewing hatred and misinformation. Your "fruits" are self-evident. I believe Mormonism is a cult, but I would never attack them as you are doing. Negative attacks NEVER teach the truth. They only do the bidding of the enemy and lead nobody to Christ. Finger-pointing is certainly not the way of the Gospel. Christ, Himself, was surrounded by apostasy and evil, yet He never raised His voice to condemn. Everything he said and did was always in love--even when rebuking the ones who were preparing to kill Him. Even if EVERYTHING you are saying were possibly the truth (which it definitely is not), you are not a person that I would equate with a true Christian. You pick and choose which Scripture backs up your twisted view, and ignore the context from which it derives. What makes you hate so much that you would twist things in such a way. Are you Catholic? You obviously are not stupid. What is your view on who are "true" Christians? I suspect that you are Jesuit or Jesuit trained. The material you present has been carefully prepared to attack certain pillars of our church and really reveal you in ways you cannot even imagine. Do you think that we are so mindless and without the gifts of the spirt to see through this charade? As I said in my first post, you are refreshing. We must be doing SOMETHING right to bring this vitriol out of you. I don't hate you nor am I angry at you. I don't pity you either nor do I wish you ill and certainly don't see you as Satanic. You are just flesh and blood. One day, you MAY become a tool of Satan simply by your methods of putting down others and placing labels on them.

I see you on very dangerous ground. Come on out into the open. Until you do, this is a dead thread. Tell us how YOU "honor" the Sabbath. Tell us how YOU worship. You are very good at telling us what you do NOT believe. Now tell us what you DO believe and practice. Are you just making excuses for your own refusal to be baptized or follow any Laws? Are you "saved" in your sin? Do you believe that the coming of Jesus will "cleanse" you of your sin? Do you believe that Jesus can save us FROM our sin or while we are yet sinning? Come on OP. Stand up and be counted. Are you afraid to be judged just as you are judging? No matter what YOUR belief is, WE could do the same to you and pick and choose things out of context to disprove anything you believe in. This is Satanic in and of itself. This is the pot calling the kettle black. It has no place in Christianity and is anathema to the Scriptures and the Holy Spirit of God. Mock on. Until you come out, this is just another boring attack. It's all transparent nonsense. Show us the Christ in you. We've already seen the "other" side. You have been weighed in the balance and found wanting. I'm just flesh and blood telling you this. Hearing this from God will be the last thing you will see or hear before you are cast into the Lake of Fire. It is better for a millstone to be wrapped around your neck and cast into the sea than to harm the "least" of these little ones. I am not harmed by you in any way. I take no offense and even give you the benefit of the doubt. If you are truly sincere, come on out into the open. You can talk the talk, but can you walk the walk? LIke I've said to many pastors, "I don't want to see YOU on the pulpit. I want to see Jesus." Likewise, I don't want to see you OP. I want to see Jesus. So far, I do not. Show me.

Understand "the wages of sin is death" but by grace we are saved. Grace is forgiveness of sin or that we may continue in sin such as observing the wrong day of worship. The only way to get grace is by repenting, and repenting means to sin no more. No repenting, no grace.
