I just want to voice my extreme displeasure with Bob Costas anti gun rant on your network . It seems in this country we have an epidemic of lack of responsibility in some of our citizens. To blame the gun because that scumbag Jovan Belcher killed his girlfriend and then himself < which was great by the way . I'm glad he was atleast considerate enough to not make the tax payers pay for the rest of his life in prison. And that's one less scumbag off the planet that will NEVER kill anyone ever again. >
I find to be similar to blaming the pen for being racist because someone used it to make a racist statement.

And I find his comment laughable stating if it wasn't for the gun Belcher and his girlfriend would still be alive. If Belcher really wanted his girlfriend dead he could've used a knife , or baseball bat with nails driver through it . Or perhaps he could've jammed a pencil into her neck and then hung himself. I carry a gun everywhere I go . I'm a licensed and legal advocate for the second amendment. And amazingly enough by the grace of god I've NEVER had to use it . And with any luck I NEVER WILL. But in todays world one just never knows when a life altering attack that may end in serious injury or death may happen. It's not about being paranoid , scared to be alive. It's about being prepared . Everytime you get in a car and put your seatbelt on are you shaking and shivering in anticipation of a car accident? No , ofcourse not. You are taking necessary steps to ensure in the event of an accident you can minimize potential damage to yourself.

Jovan Belcher killed his girlfriend. Jovan Belcher killed himself. Not the gun . Until he initiated the murder suicide the gun was doing exactly what in-animate objects do. NOTHING.

So in my opinion Bob Costas shout STFU and talk about the game at hand and the fact there has been nothing mentioned by your network to appologize for his unfounded anti constitutional rant leads me to think this kind of behavior is ok. Well it's not. NBC will no longer watched in my household. And until I hear an apology from your network I hope every other freedom loving American in the country follows suit. Have fun watching your already dwindling ratings. "
