BREAKING: Syria mixing chemical weapons now | |
| Spine monkey User ID: 19054218 12/03/2012 04:02 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This must mean Assad's back is already against the wall and he's not waiting to have a NATO army massed against him. Could be that the various destabilization efforts going on simultaneously with, but separately from, the "civil war." I can understand the "logic" behind all of this. The U.S. wants Syria either under western influence or "harmlessly destabilized." By the latter I mean, if the jihadists were to take over, they would be taking over in a country that had been completely defanged, because if the U.S. were to allow SYRIA--SYRIA!!!--to go radical islamist, there would be a very good reason for it. And that reason is that the Syrian army would have been wiped out from the company level upward, with every piece of machinery rendered "non-threatening to Israel," with every rocket and missile destroyed. Israel would then be far better able to cope with Syria. It would be a larger version of Gaza--a nuisance, but not, at yet, an existential threat. With Syria removed from the equation, Hezbollah is cut off from resupply by Iran. It would probably use its missiles/rockets, rather than lose them, kill several hundred Israelis, and the lower 50 miles of Lebanon will be flattened by a U.S.-assited carpet bombing. Turkey and Iraq both take parts of Syria. The oil companies run crazy putting pipelines everywhere. And then Israel attacks Iran. Hezbollah has been neutralized, as has Hamas, with neither able to resupply because of the loss of Syria. Israel is able to use Syrian airspace and Iraqi airspace, naturally, to attack Iran from the north while sub-based missiles are launched from the south. Yadda yadda yadda. The long and short of this is--things are happening NOW that threaten Assad NOW. As in, he doesn't want to have to fight the rebels AND NATO, so he might just want to take his shot now. OR get everybody's sphincter's tight and call for a Ceasefire. The above, and fiddy cents, will get you fiddy cents worth of a handjob from Madame Tourette, the arthritic prostitute emerita of Crooktoe, MS. |

Syrian forces began combining chemicals that would be used to make deadly sarin gas for use in weapons to attack rebel and civilian populations, a U.S. official tells CNN. A clear provocation and message of intent to use. 100% Bullshit. You do NOT mix chemical weapons. Chemical weapons are SEALED in glass vials within warheads. Some are single part some are two part and mix upon detonation. So that story 100% bullshit. |

I think they are mixing the chemical weapon's and artillery shells. "Syria is known to store its chemical stockpile, in many instances, separately from the artillery shells, rockets or missiles that would deliver those chemical weapons in an attack." It can be: Sarin is a chiral molecule (typically racemic), with four substituents attached to the tetrahedral phosphorus center.[5] The SP form (shown) is the more active enantiomer due to its greater binding to acetylcholinesterase.[6] It is prepared from methylphosphonyl difluoride and a mixture of isopropyl alcohol. Quoting: [link to en.wikipedia.org] CH3P(O)F2 + (CH3)2CHOH → [(CH3)2CHO]CH3P(O)F + HF Isopropylamine is added to neutralize the hydrogen fluoride generated during this alcoholysis reaction. As a binary chemical weapon, it can be generated in situ by this same reaction. Note the last bit. Last Edited by Lime Flavoured Redux on 12/03/2012 04:57 PM |
