Doyline evacuation extended; 6M pounds of black powder to be moved Quoting: Nika CAMP MINDEN, LA (KSLA) - Authorities now believe they're dealing with more than 6 million pounds of M6 powder at Camp Minden. Original estimates had the stockpile officials say was improperly stored on property leased by Explo Systems, Inc. at 1 million pounds. "That's a lot of product, a lot of dangers in there, there are a lot of worst case scenarios, we need to work through those safely," says Louisiana State Police Colonel Michael Edmondson. The new estimate comes two days into operations to move and secure the smokeless black powder into authorized storage facilities on the site. The operation is now expected to continue into Tuesday, extending the evacuation of the town of Doyline at least that much longer. [link to www.wafb.com] It's headed to the Israelis. ![]() |

That 1 million pounds of explosives at Camp Minden has now grown to 6 million pounds! Evacuation has been extended. So what is it that you all think that they are really doing? They evac the town (no one is there to see what is really going on) and could be doing anything. Given the towns location, i am surprised that no one has brought this up. Who wants to be around when they say there is 1,000,000 pounds of boom boom that could go off. Now it is up to 6,000,0000 pounds bam bam (upgraded from boom boom) and the evac area was just increased. They really could be doing anything. we all saw how big the pile was when it was 1,000,000 pounds and now they are saying there is 6 times as much...who did the search warrant? blind troopers? Are they really moving the bam bam out or are they moving something in. no one would pay attention to things coming in, just what was going out. Bad feeling about this. In every operation, whether planning it or executing it, you can never count on luck; but you have to accept it, and recognize it when it’s there. -Major ******, U-2 Pilot/Instructor/Flight Commander |

Evacuation has been extended. that russian ammo depot going off was similar to the 1 mil lbs. imagine 6 times bigger. this is all powder for artillery so it has an extreme pressure detonation. very little smoke, huge velocity. i dont think anyone within 1/2 a mile could withstand the direct concussion blast. explosion would be heard at least 50 miles, felt at around 5. anyone within a mile would be deaf for a while. |

Quoting: Lilbabez33 That's the million dollar question, isn't it? The artical says they were decommissioning old ordinance. So, they took all the explosives out of a few million shells. Rather than disposing of it properly, they boxed it up and stacked it everywhere there was room. Apparently that adds up to 6 million pounds in about 7 years. [link to www.wafb.com] Nika: from another thread: "Explo Systems Inc" doesn't sound like a real place. It's laughable. Sounds like an evil corporation for a movie. They can tell you all sorts of specifics about what horrible things could happen were this mystery powder to ignite, but they can't tell you what the fuck the powder is. It's a cartoon. They're transporting the Unubtainium. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 15044657 Who is actually behind this move? We're left to assume it's the government or the military...but wtf? Who was it that came up to the town sheriff and told him he needed to tell the town to evacuate? It's all very suspicious in the way that this is specifically engineered to make you feel a certain way. Leaving you to assume what diabolical things they could possibly be up to. The mysterious "booms" that none of us have forgotten about were mentioned several times in the article. It's meant to make you suspicious and give them more power through what imagined power they might have. Explo Systems Inc probably only exists on paper and they're transporting big crates of nothing. It's a control tactic and a mind fuck. I don't know what links can and cannot be posted here, but I found this from August of 2006: Explo Systems, Inc. 3 Steps Away from Duke Cunningham, How Close to Carlyle Group? An explosion occurred at a Louisiana military base today requiring the evacuation of nearby schools. The contractor charged with safely dismantling military ordinance is Explo Systems, Inc. Information on the company is not widely available as it’s privately held. However, a small town newspaper ran an article about the facility’s open house. Another site listed the square footage the company leases at 237,257 sq. ft. Otherwise, not much information is available online. Which defense oriented investment house owns this corporation is not yet clear. However, Explo Systems does license its bomb dismantling technology from a German company, wholly owned by General Atomics, based in San Diego. The General Atomics donation record to Randy Duke Cunningham is clear. 2004 $10,000 2002 $10,000 2000 No record 1998 $10,000 Did you note Randy’s biggest contributor the 2002 election cycle? It was none other than The Carlyle Group at $23,300. In 2000 Carlyle gave $5,500 to "Randy Randy". That same election year Carlyle donated nearly $500,000 with 85% going to Republican candidates. What will come out about this company in light of the incident? If privately held management controls the media, then the public would see very little information. |
