Did one of the "Jungle Gold" dudes on Discovery series blow himself away?

one of the assholes was telling a story about how their partner from a few years ago killed himself recently while sobbing for ratings.

The two assholes are douching it up somewhere but no, he was telling a story for sympathy.

I watched that show a couple times.

I would imagine the Discovery channel would have probably yanked the show or failed to air it had this happened.

I am wondering if the robbery was a stunt planned by them. The roadblock could have been ran over by a bicycle for one thing, so WHY NOT JUST DRIVE OVER IT for crying out loud? Then to BOTH walk out, and leave 75k in GOLD in the truck! Come on now, could this be a planned stunt?? If I had 75k in gold in a truck in a jungle, I would have smashed theough a BRICK WALL if it was in my way. If I were robbed somehow, I would have put up AT LEAST A CHASE by foot or truck. Everyone should see the finale, they have nearly an hour of footage of the dark haired guy (scott) high out of his mind on coke. He can't stop moving, talking really fast, sniffing literally every 2 seconds, and the biggest give away was that he was going full tilt towards a get-rich-quick scheme of failure proportions.

i used to really respect that channel, but that respect has totally gone now, for me.

There is something fascinating about watching a bunch of screw ups screwing up.

I read that a month or so ago another guy from a different gold mining show did die during the filming of the current season... It stuck in my mind because I read separate reports it was an accidental shooting and another that said it was a drowning. 'Bunce' I think was his name. 'Bearing Sea gold' or something like that - Nome, Alaska.

I've noticed on these shows they rarely test the ground before digging. I guess they like digging holes. Well, these shows are in part cool cause you get to see people start from scratch though sometimes it's frustrating. But apparently someone actually gets rich on Gold Rush this year. Coincidentally, this year they actually drilled test holes before leasing land... note to prospective miners.

Jungle Gold dudes need some muscle next year if they go back. First they were kicked off land by Chinese miners who stole their plot. Then, got robbed on the season finale.
