Not too different here. Wages have gone down, and stuff costs a lot. Not really much to do here because no one can afford it... lots of posers though...

I'm in the top 5%, so life here is dandy.

You probably want a less biased perspective though.

Re: How is it? Life in United States?
It sucks

but living any where in the middle east would be worse

I can honestly say; life is not as good as it was 20 years ago

for numerous reasons. But one:

(I worry if I was to get really sick ; for instance with a form of cancer ; it would send my husband and I into bankruptcy. I will never go to a doc here unless I was in a MVA or some trauma and someone called the ambulance without my permission.

I personally know of someone who was diagnosed with lymphoma last year. The total cost to save their life was a million dollars and some change.
I wife didn't have good insurance; they would be looking at loosing everything.)

This is life in the US

welcome to hell

You can tell things are changing. I've seen a lot of small restaurants & businesses close their doors. Prices are going up on everything. My perspective is from a far watching bad things happen to other, I've been spared so far.

Re: How is it? Life in United States?
$750 for 1 bedroom rent in average neighborhood
$130 for electricity
$49.99 for internet
49.99 for tv
Average grocery will $150 lasts about a week or two
Cigs vary in price around $5 per pack
Alcohol (cheap beers for $5)
Soda Pop Coke Pepsi (1.25 for small personal bottle)

Living in the US is probably like anywhere else. Its boring, everyone keeps to themselves, people live very close together but dont know each other, most people sit at home and watch tv... Some people go on vacation for a week or two but thats about the extent of our fun.

We are possibly the most shallow, lonely people on the entire planet. Rich in materialism but 3rd world country poor in life & spirituality (not to be confused with religion).

Most people are literally walking zombies... On a day where the US government and military authorize killings of innocents with drones, most will go out for an ice cream and bitch about someone being "rude" to them.

Its the best place on earth as long as you never awake and start asking your own questions.

I want out but realistically there is no where to go thats better. We are the last country, when we fall, say hello to thousands of years of manipulation and control...

Our country is being transformed into a communist country and we're hundreds of trillions in debt. The world has never seen these debt levels before. I expect them to soon be rolling out gun registration and then confiscation. They've got all the pieces in place for martial law, so we can expect that within 12 months. We keep losing good jobs and many must settle for low paying jobs. Sorry to be so bleak but that's the way I see it.

It has been tough here. Where I am drinks are pretty cheap but the price for smokes keeps going up. Things can be ok here in the midwest. Certainly not as crowded and full of BS posers. THe coasts are expensive.

Well, the average income is higher and the drinks aren't as expensive...but we're nearly up to $5 for a pack o smokes.

But don't worry...our economy is being destroyed...on purpose.

Midwest U.S.A.

Was earning $15.00 an hour for 40 hrs and took home about $780.00 weekly after reg. Deductions and spent $75.00 driving to and from work weekly. 60 bucks a week food,480.00 rent month, 120.00 smartphone, 120.00 cable tv, 120.00 insurances, 100.00 entertainment weekly.
Now Layed off with $330.00 weekly until I use up 5000.00 in the fund. Then will be $0 dollar income. Cashed in 401k and have stock, cant touch for 2 years.

Only jobs available are around $9 per hour starting and Have applied a 3 or 4 jobs per week with personal contact with 2 employers per orders from state of Iowa to receive benefits. If not able to work or make work searches your unemployment is terminated.

I am 47 years old Male and have worked meat packing industry, Plumbing, Climbed and maintained radio communication towers,
Broadband Cable technician and worked assembly for a very well known manufacturer. I have never been off of work for more than 3 weeks and I am going on 4 months. I will never apply for welfare and rental assistance which is popular for the vast multicultural population in this town of 15,000 people. It's amazing they'll have 100 dollar bills in wallet and use ebt cards and pickup groceries in new escalade. I drive a 1997 monte carlo with 220,000 miles I put new motor and tires in 3 years ago. And bicycle

I currently moved back home to care for my 72 year old mother whom can't walk well and has never driven an automobile. And she receives about $1110.00 a month and pays 121.00 for electric, 120.00 for cable tv, 100.00 insurance, 150.00 taxes, and probably gambles 500 a month at the casinos in the area with her elderly friends .....The new retirement activity, in this decade.
Previously cared for grandfather for 3 years when he had cancer and eventually died and later on helped care for my grandmother when I could and neither spend time in nursing home unless absolutely necessary.

Personally I'd like to live in Florida on SW coast but looks like i'm forever stuck in Midwest.

America is in the lost generation now and it will only get worse with ObamaCare going into effect. Small business was the lifeblood of the country and it is being strangled under regulations that effect the bottom line.
