They are difficult to photograph as they hide so readily, the males at least (and some brazen lady spiders) can be goaded out of hiding by repeated tapping on a nearby surface with the index and middle fingers. After being drawn out of hiding, they'll be friendly and will even eat food (caterpillars etc) that is presented! |
