Jumping spiders are cute

Arent they darlings? Those 2 eyes upfront see as well as we do, and a wider spectrum if I recall correctly.

They don't creep me out like other spiders for some reason. Maybe because they seem to be little fuzzy balls... instead of a sleek, black, waxed body of a widow... ouch...

Pretty much lol. They communicate to each other by drumming a surface with the forelegs (pedipalps?). They are difficult to photograph as they hide so readily, the males at least (and some brazen lady spiders) can be goaded out of hiding by repeated tapping on a nearby surface with the index and middle fingers. After being drawn out of hiding, they'll be friendly and will even eat food (caterpillars etc) that is presented!
