Wordsmiths -- I need HELP!!
What is the word that conveys the idea that something might not be quite accurate as portrayed, or that there may be an exception to what is stated.

For instance, I want to add a clause at the bottom of a sales ad that says the item you receive may be different than what is pictured.

What is the word that refers to that clause.

(hope that wasn't too confusing.. I'm drawing a blank on something that is on the tip of my tongue and Thesaurus.com is not coming up with anything either)

Thanks!

Thanks, but that's not it. :)

It's more like saying I would have to add a "proviso" at the bottom. But proviso is not quite the right word.

anyone else?

WRONG. The "bait and switch" happened to me.

I'm trying to draft an email to them and point out what they need to correct.

Well what you REALLY need to do then is have a lawyer send them a letter.

That will straighten them up real fast.
