Churches lack something important

yea...like GOD!!!!!!....GOD is personal between you and Him, and Him only, no interceder between you and GOD; therefore F#@K all churches and religions....you must only have a personal relatioship with GOD!!!

Churches should start being more like the Salvation Army, more emphasis on good works and less on preaching in huge expensive building. In other words, every church should become a charitable organization as its primary purpose.

Indeed, now I know what people are missing out on in these churches. A personal connection with God. These material things that we yearn for are not even real nor are our bodies. The soul is more real than anything else and it is the one thing that you keep with you after you pass away.

There are lots of ways to reply to this topic.

In my experience what is usually lacking in churches (and some Christians) is a responsiveness to God. Without that -- or without a desire to be responsive to God -- what's the use in going?

Well said indeed. If a church does not do charitable works for their community than that church should pay taxes.

They have replaced these things with selfishness and gree and pride and a good dash of haughty puffed up hate filled arrogance.

And if it's a church that makes no income how is it to be taxed? Although I do get what you're saying there because there seems to be an explosion of preachers who are using the church as a cash cow.

what all approved churchs do wrong is they give equal weight to a founding doctrine diametrically opposed to the new testament doctrine.
believing the the womb and placenta are just as important as the child that issued forth from them is what's crazy, the proper view is that they were superceded having fulfilled their purpose.
