And finds the mundane existence of debt slavery undesirable, yet sees no other option... I bet he is creative. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28867210 I've been free for a few years now. Its awesome. Life is good. Same here. I just hope my limited funds last until the world no longer requires money to live... *smile* well my spouse works, but he's got an excellent job that he loves and pays well. We travel a lot (business and pleasure). I love being home and not working and its so much better for us as a couple, no stress from hectic work schedules, etc. I'm actually living my fantasy. |

A couple of years ago, I bought a used box van moving truck and converted it into a simple living quarters. I travel the U.S. sleeping in Walmart parking lots, truck stops any place safe. Tonight I'm parked in a casino parking lot using their free wifi. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 26654587 Life is very good... Wally world IS good for free camping spots. ![]() |

I wonder if he is... I know you will say that he is, but he is still on the tread mill... no, i don't suppose he is, even though he claims he likes his job a lot. he feels if he leaves his job, i will leave him since i have become accustomed to a certain lifestyle. the truth is, i will never leave him. i love him. married him for better or worse, richer or poorer. when we both met, we had no money - we were both dirt poor, so it was the real deal, no hidden motives - we married because we loved each other. later during the marriage i got a nice size inheritance - i was totally surprised as was he. we banked it. he makes a ton of money now and we have a bond based on trust and loyalty. I keep telling him he can quit anytime and if we become poor, we will still be together forever. I do believe he likes the prestige and money though, so he is not trapped by any means. besides I've always believed the best things in life are free and a a fit body. As long as I have 2 hours a day to work out, I am happy. as for other fantasies he may have... well lets just say I am happy to help him get there no matter what they are... he is free to roam if he chooses. Me? I am content with my place in the world. I would never stray from him, but understand if he needs to stray, I may have to look away or walk away. so far, so good. I believe its the option of freedom that keeps a man happy. besides he is insanely good to me. I have no reason to cause him any grief. we come into the world alone, we leave alone. the friends and relationships we have inbetween are only has good as we allow them to be. I am, for some reason, still mysterious to him at times. I think that is what keeps him close to me, he never stops discovering things about me and same for me about him. He is a mystery at times. A good one, too. |
| Anonymous Coward User ID: 1880593 12/03/2012 10:30 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Fear is what controls our lives.... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9788321 Fear of jail, fear of reprisal, fear of God, fear of hurting others, fear of losing dignity, fear of being a "bad" person. The only alternative is what most religious folk would consider evil selfish anarchy. I call it living free. you know nothing. Proverbs 9:10 "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding." and if you have no regard/fear of hurting others all for your own "freedom" then that does make you a selfish asshole |

This then leads to a house payment, a car payment and a fucked up job to pay the bills you just created. From then on you are a fucking slave for life! Hooked! Finished! Because I was running low on money and I thought "Fuck it, if I'm gonna be homeless, I'm gonna be homeless somewhere interesting". Backpacked my way back to where I heard English and busted tables till I could fly back to the US. Took all together 15 months. Best time of my life. Quoting: Leslie Zevo Yeah, as a single young man. thats strength, needing nothing at all. I hear ya. I was homeless once too. I biked, I explored. I ate so many egg sandwiches from the soup kitchen, lol. |

Quoting: Mister Obvious Just go. Go and don't even look back. Yep, my husband and I just did that. New place, smaller bills - he does what he loves and gets paid for it and I catch part time jobs. We have no cable - don't eat out - I shop at thrift stores and get tons of compliments and don't let them know that my outfit costs only 12 bucks, lol. Amazing what you can find at thrift stores. If you can go, and want to then go. If you feel you can't at this time, then set a goal as to WHEN you can, research places, and when you can, DO it. In the meantime, put some fun somewhere into your day, even if it's something that would seem extraordinarily stupid to most people!! What have you got to lose? DO IT!! |
