I agree with the taking of B vitamins. Specifically B12, everyday. The daily recommended dose is on the bottle. Also, I take ginger everyday. I put powdered ginger in my coffee (1/2 tsp - up to 4tsp a day). But, you could put it in tea or buy capsules if you do not like the taste of it.
If the pain is localized you can use capsasin or arnica creams. I like the capsasin.
