Too expensive

I'm trying to buy. Met a guy at a dealership on a private party sale. I paid $90 to have his 2007 Toyota FJ inspected. It only had 43,000 miles and he wanted $18,500. The dealer said it would take $1,800 in repairs. I offered $1,600. I asked to see the title and he had it, but it wasn't in his name. What's with that? He said it was in his brother's name, but it looked like "Martin" and he looked indian (from India).

The dealer service man asked me to come to see him. I went over and he said very carefully, "I want you to know. that guy comes here a lot and sells cars". I asked what that means and he said he wasn't allowed to say.

I think this one will get away.
