This seems like very big news!

From the article:

Spacecraft data revealed the magnetic field became stronger each time Voyager entered the highway region; however, the direction of the magnetic field lines did not change.

"We are in a magnetic region unlike any we've been in before -- about 10 times more intense than before the termination shock -- but the magnetic field data show no indication we're in interstellar space," said Leonard Burlaga, a Voyager magnetometer team member based at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md. "The magnetic field data turned out to be the key to pinpointing when we crossed the termination shock. And we expect these data will tell us when we first reach interstellar space."

Put two and two together! 10 times more intense...but no indication the Voyager has reached interstellar space...

I would take all of this as confirmation of the incoming energy wave...just in time for December 2012.

The article cleverly words this "breaking news" as the Voyager "moving into" a new area. I look at this "new area" moving into our solar system.

when i was in college i went there. They have a cool section to sit outside behind the bands, i would be there smoking cigs and drinking spiked cider. mmmmm. i dont drink or smoke now though. I ride my bike to morningglory and eat vegan breakfast now, thats about it for my party life. yes i was hippyfied, but boy am i healthy

I feel sad, because I think Voyager 1 and 2 will be the only relics to survive after the earth is gone.

This makes me think of the as within, so without principle. So the trillions of galaxies are like the trillions of cells in the body, each protected by its cell wall, yet sharing, through osmosis materials across its semipermable membrane. The surface tension of the cell wall is like the heliopause(outer boundary of the heliosphere) and particles are being exchanged across the membrane. In the cell, material will 'move' from areas of higher concentration (pressure) to areas of lower concentration. If we want to know more about astrophysics we should study botany...understanding how phloem and parenchyma and colenchyma nourish the plant/tree through this unbelievable transport system. Really amzing stuff.

interesting thought. but I have to say that they expected something to happen right now, where voyager is, they thought they were reaching the heliosheath. so they anticipated this very moment for sometime, just found something different. It would be such a huge coincidence if this wave of energy (actually magnetism) occured just then, after such a long travel
