In WINTER, at what temperature do you maintain your domicile?

I'd love to heat my house to 70 but oil is too damned expensive.

I need to install a Geothermal Furnace and be done with oil once and for all

just to piss off Obama I keep my thermostat set at 72 all the time.

I took your poll just out of curiosity, but here in Dallas it has been in the high 70s, low 80s all week, so I still have the air conditioner running

However, when I did live up north, we kept it around 60-65 and used a wood burning furnace installed in the basement of an old farmhouse, with a oil burner as a backup

I'm at 50F right now on the thermostat,
but it's still 60F in here with the windows open.
It's down to 45F outside now, so might be time to close up. ;-`)

I like it around 50° Fahrenheit.
I'd rather dress warmer than being too warm.

Plus I live in Minnesota so I might just be used to it.

I generally don't turn on my furnace, but when I do...I prefer the lower 60s. -- said in "Most Interesting Man in the World" voice.

78+ because it's hard to keep it lower when you burn wood. Toasty!

I leave the heat pump off until the ground floor is 58 F. We use a space heater to heat our finished basement to 70 F or so. We don't run any heat at night or while we aren't home. Before we got the space heater, our electric bill was as high as $250 a month in winter. With the space heater, we've been able to keep it below $175.

Agreed, fuck the greenies.. I burn propane by the gallon to sit comfortably in my place, in shorts.. Subzero outside, my place, my money.. Let it burn baby!!!

With my wood-burning stove, a nice comfy 85F most of the time.

It was 76 outside today so no hear but tonight it's cold again at 55 so heat back on an up to about 74 feels about right.

Except my feet which get cold about October and stay cold until the next June.

What dead animal is that beside the cot?

Pretty sure there are exercises,
supplements and warm socks to take care of your cold feet. ;-`)

Low 60's at night 66 during day and 68 when feeling frisky. We like layers and cool. Ceiling fans everywhere...lol.

72, but all I am running is a single micathermic heater and heating one room.

69, there is a huge difference between 69 and 65.

We run a computer program that shuts the heat off while we sleep so the house temp can drop to 65, but it comes on enough to be comfortable when we wake.

75-77, colder makes my reynauds and arthritis worse.

In my house right now it is 40C or 104 F, I am not even going to go outside, we dont have air con..we wont use it, it is not natural for us.

About 70.

We vary the temp based upon bedtime, as everyone sleeps better when a little cold. It might get down to 60 deg F, but chillier for me since I like it cold too.

Hey, do you get more condensation not using a tent with a floor? Or less? Curious about setting up a tent that way....
