Missing John Denver too - have All of his albums and saw him in concert in Oklahoma on April 27, 1978 - best concert Ever !
Missing him this time of year esp - loved his Christmas specials.

So Many entertainers that I miss terribly over the years.
Currently missing Andy Williams - again due to his Christmas specials as well.

Andy William's version of "Do You Hear What I Hear?" is my favorite of his Christmas songs. "Born Free" is one of my favorites of his in general.

Back to John Denver, in his first Christmas song book, is "The Lord's Prayer" with music written by John Denver.
I played it on my flute many yrs ago and it's beautiful in its simplicity. As far as I know, he never recorded it.

Favorite of all of John's Christmas show appearances :

2 min 45 sec :

This entire show was thoroughly enjoyable.
[ forward to 3 min 14 sec - but all of it is good ]
