Christmas carols have always been a big part of christmas, and I grew up on them.

I miss them.

I miss what Christmas used to be.

A celebration.
A gathering of family.
A time that should be ....happy? Joyful?

And now it seems to be this contentious holiday that offends people, and we're not allowed to have it in peace.

Leave it alone!

If people want to celebrate some other holiday, go for it.
Have your Kwanza, Chunakah, Winter Solstice. Really, whatever floats your boat.
Atheists...have your atheist holiday, whatever it is.

I don't care.

But Christmas is Christmas.
And having Christmas trees (not holiday trees), and Christmas carols....kind of religious ones even(!) is part of it.
