the masses on our Mother the Earth will first be deceived by the allure of space/time (it will be called "time as direction" in the media) and being told that our Mother is "ending". So fear will drive the masses. This great deception will initiate the "abomination of desolation" as described in Revelations. The "desolation" is the lifting off from the surface of the planet, the majority of our Mother's inhabitants, out of fear of their physical death (called the "first death" in the Bible). Hence she will be desolate. Those who get into the craft willfully abandon their Mother and break their contract with the "end of days". This eventually will result in their "second death" which is literally the end of the soul (something the greys are all too familiar with and fear most). Unfortunately this happens many times in the life of the solar system and it will happen many times into the future with the migration of the planets inwards on their spiritual paths.
