Re: What was your path leading to "waking up" ?
Here's my path:

1. Book of Mormon (raised mormon)
2. Holy Bible (Non-lds version)
3. In-depth reading about various religions (My path through Christianity was A. Methodist B. Lutheran C. Universalist D. Ended with Orthodox Christianity)
4. Dawkins
5. Hitchens
6. Descartes (saved my life)
7. Spinoza (yes actually reading these guys works not just crib notes on the internet)
8. Locke (briefly)
9. Hume
10. Blackburn
11. Bertrand Russel (mind fuck)
12. Kant (agree with on morality)
13. Nietzsche (hard to beat)
14. Sam Harris
15. Dan Dennet (current obsession lol)

Once reconstructing my mind I was able to expand into other areas. Example for politics: Milton Friedman. I'd have to say the biggest influences on my own subjective philosophy have been Hitchens, Descartes, Dennet and Nietzsche. If you have time check out these guys.

No problem. I'd have to say Descartes is my rock because you can't go backward from "I think therefore I am." Nietzsche made me depressed because it was hard to argue and when you submit to it you do feel free, but I was a saved again by Dennet.

Re: What was your path leading to "waking up" ?
It all started for me when I began to look into conspiracy theories. At the time, I had no real expectation of believing any of them, and had always bought the official narrative of most everything: rather it was WWI AND II, Vietnam, 9/11, etc.

Anyway, I slowly but surely began to piece things together after spending a summer really looking at 9/11 and finding myself not buying into parts of the narrative. Then more of the narrative. And more...and you understand.

Then, for whatever reason, I began listening to Glenn Beck. Why? I'm not too sure, but I really bought in to a lot of what he said. Specifically to never take someone's word and to do your own research. This was during his last year on Fox News, and looking back he did talk about pretty controversial topics from time to time. After Glenn, I drifted to Alex. I still listen to Alex, and feel he has a ton of good information, but now am beginning to wonder about him too in certain respects. Bill Cooper and all of that.

Now I am really starting to grasp the concept of banking families and elite interest groups pulling the strings through various outlets. The Illuminati is also something I have been very interested in...the symbolism in so much mainstream TV and music is pretty undeniable.

I'm just ranting now, but what about you? What is your story???

Just looking through the conspiracy portion of that website for 3 minutes and I can already tell it is bullshit. This guy likes his straw-men. It is funny how he tries to say there is no goal of a New World Order. That alone proves he is a shill, or just an idiot.

Sagan was one of my father's. Him and Hawking had a profound influence on my father as I learned before his death. They influenced me through my father, but after he died I had no one to go to for answers anymore (I was 19) and that's when I started to question being brought up Mormon. Which led to my list :)

addictions and sadness wanting something more in life. I always new I had whatever the world wanted from me, I always felt I was a battery for someone or for a bigger purpose, and
had this driving force to go the distance, saddened because I look at my granddaughter, not sure if I am cut out to be for her like I was at 27, my situation is not fullfilling my purpose anymore, while my granddaughter parents lay out there in the other room not doing anything while my husband and I are together just for her sake, just something wasn't working anymore. So right before I started to wake up, I had been ulitimately dying for many years in the soul leading up to this.

And have had four years of this conspiracy stuff, stretched my mind to infinite and now don't know what to do next. I need something more now and to belong with like minded people.

I watched Glenn Beck from the time he was on Headline News to his last show on Fox News. I used to listen to him on the radio every day. I bought into his theories, his ideas, his trips to Jerusalem everyting. Milton Friedman freed me from his lies. The guy is guided by his Mormon ideology (which I was Mormon and can assert) and he's a shill for the Republican Party. However, during my time with Glenn Beck I listened to A. but he's just too out there with his crackpot notions. When it comes to 9/11 the reality of the situation is: Which is more likely? 1. That a group of religious fundamentalists led by a radical ideology flew planes into the building? or 2. A uber secret faction of the Illuminati who has complete control of the world secretly got people to demo the buildings while NOT flying planes and instead shot missles into the building...I mean really? Asking questions is good. Asking stupid questions like "Who did 9/11" gets you nowhere.

I really can't buy into the official narrative. Even if I sat here and said, I believe it was purely Islamic fundamentalist, I wouldn't really believe it. It's little things, like finding the perfect passports in both NYC and the field in Pennsylvania. The war games. WTC7. The plan for worldwide American military dominance in a Project for a New American Century, with mention for a need of a "new pearl harbor" to accelerate global change. Plus the history of false flag terrorism from governments around the world. Also, the "shadow government" is actually pretty solid in evidence. Banking elite cartels, and specific bloodlines, have shaped world events for centuries.

Mine was looking for alternatives to allopathic medicine. The more I researched, the more I realized that "they" were really trying to kill/control us. That lead me to conspiracy theories, then Educate yourself website, then to Rife generators, orgone, etc.,. then here to GLP. Lots of other stops along the way of course. I now have more questions than ever, so I'll just keep going.

always felt something is wrong with what we are told..

since childhood was interested in ancient egypt, liked Erich von Dänikens theories about ancient sites and what they were for..
read 1984 and all those "old" science fiction books - saw parts of them happen in real life..
studied economics until at one point i could´t agree with what one is told there, perfect markets and employees as human resources and stuff..
911 happenend, never felt the official version was the right one..
met a guy who gave me some forbidden books to read, really mind opener..
had experienced lucid dreaming - and searched the net ..
that pretty much sums it up for me.

Re: What was your path leading to "waking up" ?
Here's how I stumbled upon info about the New World Order.

In the spring of 2002 I was surfing the internet regarding arguments against the theory of evolution. I then came upon a website (I think it was called the "Remnant of God" website). It had a link to the "Vatican Assassins" interview by Eric Jon Phelps. For whatever reason, I read the whole interview, and it got me VERY interested in the NWO. I understand now that Eric Jon Phelps and the "vatican controls the NWO" people are complete disinfo agents.

Then, very shortly after that I started researching on the NWO via the internet, and then stumbled upon the documentary "9/11: The Road to Tyranny" (by the controlled-op disinfo artist down in Austin, Texas) on another website (I think it was the "jesusissavior" website).

After seeing that video, it was "on", and I've been hard-core researching the NWO ever since.

Check that. It was spring of 2003, just after the start of the Iraq War, when I first learned of the NWO conspiracy.

The video "9/11: The Road to Tyrnany" really blew my mind. After that I heavily researched the 1995 Oklahoma City Bombing, 1993 Waco Massacre, and 9/11 of course. And then I researched anything and everything releated to the NWO, including Freemasonry, Federal Reserve, JFK Assassination, Jesuit Order, Illuminati, etc.

I quickly learned that it was ultimatley a Satanic/Luciferian conspiracy, and is now lead by j-ewish elites.

Over the last 4-5 years, I have concentrated my research on the "Holocaust" lie/fraud, history of jewish-lead communism, WW2, and related issues.

Re: What was your path leading to "waking up" ?
Mine was looking for alternatives to allopathic medicine. The more I researched, the more I realized that "they" were really trying to kill/control us. That lead me to conspiracy theories, then Educate yourself website, then to Rife generators, orgone, etc.,. then here to GLP. Lots of other stops along the way of course. I now have more questions than ever, so I'll just keep going.

WOW, that's exactly my path fyn
Started with "curezone" website. That is what opened my eyes.
I was a 28 yo mom, who was fed up with MD's BS.
Then GLP…and some stops in between.
My problem was that I was raised in a communist country and I had NO information about the "western world". I had to figure out what was happening on my own (without speaking any English).
So, for me it took about 3 years since my move here to realize that something was not right.
Well, my past help, since I’ve never trusted the government…I got hooked instantly

Also... beginning in around 2004 or 2005, via my research into the NWO, I was lead into greater truth regarding the Bible and religion.

I now identify with the "Israelite Identity" message, which holds the true descendants of the Isrealites are the Anglo-Saxon, Celtic, Germanic, Scandinavian and other peoples of Northern European descent.

This is a whole other area of study which (like research into the NWO) is extremely exciting, and requires many hours/years of study, in order to "sort it all out."

Early on it involved seeing how "Christianity" has beeen corrupted by pagan/satanic doctrines from the Catholic Church (such as pagan holidays of Christmas and Easter). Eventually, you understand that it goes even deeper -- such as the fact that Saul of Tarsus (aka "Paul") is a false apostle, and that the so-called "jews" are not the descedants of the Israelites but are rather a "synagogue of Satan".

And, of course, I am still continuing to question and learn....as it is an ongoing process for all of us.

I have to amend my original answer a bit. Long before the 1990's, I read most of the novels by Taylor Caldwell. She had some very interesting views regarding the US, the Robber Barons, but most significantly, Woodrow Wilson's role in the selling out of this country to the Banksters. I had read these books in teh 60's and 70's, then life came along, I was busy raising kids, etc.,. and kind of forgot about her. Some of her stuff seemed pretty out there at the time, now....not so much.

Had a curiosity in UFOs, came across a link to this forum while on a UFO forum many years ago.

Re: What was your path leading to "waking up" ?
My path, i was a happy chappy, always towed the line and never believed in any conspiricy stuff, always laughed it off.

Then one night I watched a Jordan maxwell documentary and I was floored! Spent the next 7-8 years obsessively looking around at all the conspiricy stuff.

Then for some reason I started letting it all go, let go of fear and hate etc and started going inward and after a few years that's when I really started to awaken.
